Glitches give just about the same disadvantage as hacks, as not everyone can do it. It's pretty sad how even the admins don't give a shit. They say: "It's a fault in the MineCraft coding". That's basically saying hackers can hack, given that the hacks blocked are not allowed and the ones which can bypass the plugin, are. Duping is a fault in the MineCraft code, but it's a glitch, not a hack. What the bloody hell is going on?

I've done that, watching several youtube videos on how to allocate more RAM to MineCraft on a x32 bit computer - All failed, with several errors I couldn't counter.

Is there a way to maximize FPS without that joke of a program GameBooster? Or do I just have to get a better computer? Because I crash when I go full-screen...

1. I never mentioned the loss of GC, I don't know where people are gettign this from.

3. No, not if my understanding of Ipv6 is correct. Heck, even with IPv4! And it's entirely possible to make large delays on single characters to prevent such acts. And the amount of GC gained vs farming a character once every few hours or so would have to be balanced to make it less appealing. Though this is a good point.
4. No, people aren't that trusting. It is entirely likely that someone will say "let's trade kills" then kill you and make off with your stuff. No one with half a brain would take that risk. (and those who would are the people exploiting the brainless. So they'd just make of with their stuff anyway).
Remember, we're talking low amounts of GC. Like 50 GC for someone with max protect full diamond armour, maxed out combat enchant sword, maxed out combat enchant bow.
But you do bring up good points.
I don't think you've played minecraft.nl long enough to understand what players would to for an upper hand in the Server's Society. Also, it would be a pain in the ass to link all the Green-Coin gains to the item's gather, then to the player killed to confirm you just don't throw your shit on the ground and pick it back up. I have two alternate accounts and this would be extremely easy to farm if I remotely gave a shit. Also, people would trade kills for GC, probably all day at the least, and it doesn't take a lot to die in MineCraft.

This has been mentioned a lot before. We used to use a different plug in (combat tag) but it became self aware or something and stopped working. Hopefully when minecraft moves to the new modding API it will provide a bit more stability and cross computability between plug ins.
In the mean time, the dynmap cloak (ninja perk in GC store) is a huge help. Especially if you only use it tactically. You can get it for a donation of 3 euros, and it will last long after robots take over the world and make us their slaves.
Oh, I thought the world was gonna end when bath salts became more often - But that works too.

Will there be a later post letting us know who was accepted?
Initially we will accept as many people as possible - as we will need to claim all the land and get as many resources as possible (I'll be posting the plan for the first few days of the build soon), after we have claimed all the land we need and gained a good amount of resources then we'll thin down the numbers to people who we think should actually be in the faction (mainly from applications in this thread, possibly people that are just extremely helpful from the first stage too).
I think in this case I'll just post a list of the people involved, as there will be too many people to inbox it. However we might inbox a few people who we want to have more freedom building wise to make the base come to life who we feel are good enough + active enough to help co-ordinate building important bits of the base since its a bit too big of a task for us to coordinate all by ourselves.
Just a few things I need to ask and clear up on...
Will the faction be peaceful?

There is a factions command admins can do that will let us claim land to our hearts extent without the necessary players needed - The command is '/f permanent [faction name]'

Whilst I may not be on the game 24/7 I keep a look out on the bans/unbans section at least twice a day. So if you report a hacker, I will see it and deal with it quickly.I am also available through PM. If you PM me I'll get an email to my phone and if I'm around my laptop I can deal with it.
I think we have a larger problem with people being suspicious of every man and their wolf being hackers - I think the actual amount of people that hack is around 10-20 times smaller than people say. Often with Minecraft the case is if they're better than you they're hackers.
I'm moving back from uni on Saturday, and will have more time for MC straight away. When the new map comes out I will be on a fair amount to get some projects underway. Until then, I wouldn't sit and worry at night about the MC server not having at least one admin on at all times, as you would be surprised how intricate the xray plug in is, and with the move to more sophisticated anticheat plug ins, we'll hopefully see a reduction in abuse.
Syncr0's idea is great, and I commend him for it. Whilst we might bring in a few hackers we also might bring in some good guys. I don't think I've seen the server above 50 lately, so more numbers would mean more people to raid
It's not the server isn't popular, people have stopped playing because they heard word of a map reset. People go all out in there raids and quit afterwards 'till the map reset. Happens every time.

The AntiCheat didn't say anything.
Probably skipped right to the server logs instead; unless Clavus disabled it for in-game players or non-admins.

X-Raying isnt the only problem the server has to offer. We can shed some light on the underground duplicators, like Sacrevy, or we can see extreme hackers, like middmartinj and his faction, TheMonkey's. Of course there are the spammers who are rarely encountered anymore, but we still face the threat of the cheaters stated above. I've checked Bukkit.org recently in search for new anti-hack plugins other than Anti-Hack and the NoCheat series. Some plugins I did stumble across though was the FoundDiamonds [FD] plugin which would be complimentary with our current Anti-XRay plugin. I guess with the new Mod API you could create even better AntiHack systems as the client and the server logic are now merged.
And corby, it has occurred to all of us other than you that the server needs more active admins. Yes, you do quite a nice job of cleaning up all the bullshit that goes on, but all that effort wasted for other hackers to turn around and say: "Well, hey - If I get banned, I get banned; let's just ruin other's experience before I get banned." Needless to say, two admins aren't enough.

Actually, in our case its more the game's, not the server's fault. All of us got fed up with the game after the armor update and enchanting which seriously wrecked the game for us.
Yeah it's wrecked my enjoyment of the PVP aspect of Minecraft, which only accounts for what... 90% of the server?
I wasn't trying to imply it's the server's fault we've all left, though it did sound that way. Just noting that there does seem to be a lot less players these days, certainly fewer familiar faces anyway. More than anything the reasoning behind this thread is because of the drastic changes Mojang have implemented means there really are only a handful of forum members that regularly play now, just thought this could be a way to get some of you guys involved again.

Well, with the new Mod API, you may be able to play older versions of MineCraft, or you could just download the old server and client.
Also, 456Pokemaster still plays MineCraft. I see him on themed servers like jail and skyblock servers all the time. -
The whole tree thing annoys me more than it probably should. I like things to look clean in minecraft, not all these weird green cloud like things.
Would we be able to install treecapitator Clavus? Or a some sort of plug in that sets an auto decay on the wood if its not connected to the ground?
If this is added, possible builds with wood would be impossible.

I can almost never get onto the server.. It always says it's down for me.
