Well, today I killed three people with unused diamond armor, all pvp loggers. This is our diamond armor chest of armor we never use. It's also pretty funny to note we didn't mine any of this crap, all from PVP

Internet dick measuring contest! Count me in! Unfortunately this is all we have left, after giving away/selling upwards of 30 complete sets of diamond. I don't even remember how much I gave to LRG, or how much was sold to sphere XD!!! But, I know the equivalent of 3000+ diamonds worth of stuff has been gathered. Side note, no mining here either.

I realy would like to say one more time that its realy a shame this server's bleeding to its death. This was by far the best and most fun server i played on, an i know alot of my fellow server players think/thought the same way.
I mean u guys have a realy good URL claimed for this server Minecraft.nl...i even think you can sell that for alot of cash personally
So the name is not the issue. I understand THat u admins have it quite busy ATM, But then maybe consider hiring mods? I mean im sure there are some players who dont like the PVP anymore and for that reason are in Peacefull factions... Maybe take a look at those players?
Also another issue that seems to be a problem is the hackers.. (and im talking about the gameplay ruining hackers like FF and fly etc....) Maybe u guys want to consider making x-ray\chat flooding a temp ban? like for instance one month... 2nd time u get caught then its permanent?
Also what would attract more players is to make a 'spawn'. I mean the way the spawn is now, is very confusing for new players. So make the spawn area bigger? place some explanation signs on how this server works etc....

And 1 more very important issue : THE HORRIBLE (new) LAG, Ive encountered so many nigts lately with conditions so bad that they would force me to change to another server because PVP is almost impossible with such bad LAG.
so thats that for my 2 (last) cents.
I am done, and I know the friends I played with were done long before me. And its not just the lag, I mean its a HUGE problem, but if you want sternly believe that lag is the only problem, ok, enjoy a dead server. I will still check back every month or so to see if conditions have improved, ever hopeful.

I'm a huge fan of Technic, and recently decided to take my ventures online. The only problem I have, is every damn server suckkkkks. Wild spawns, stupid rules, idiotic communities. I was just wondering a couple of things: Does anyone have any good servers to play on, or if not, would anyone be interested in seeing if we can host a premium subscription server between us? If it's too much work for l4g a bunch of us could just sort it out amongst ourselves.
If you haven't played it, well why the heck not!? Check out Yogscast's tekkit series, it's an entertaining watch and breaks you into some of the concepts.
I would pay a a few bucks for a tekkit server. I would be nice because I feel if people are paying to play, they will play more often and more seriously. I just hope its not as laggy as server.minecraft.nl because that would make me sad.

Every once in a while there is a transition map, in which Minecraft is drastically changed to mix/spice things up until the next "vanilla"? map.
These can be build contest maps, or like that recent gorilla map.
Here is my idea.
There are between 2-6 factions, Each faction is run by either an server admin or high profile MC'er (for example Minky, Mathijs, Juantwothree)
Then when people join they have to join one of these limited number of factions. The admins can work together to ensure balance. It won't be fun if there is one team with 100 members and every one else has like 20.
The point of this is to focus on massive PVP combat, something that is very rare, but super fun. It was mention somewhere that there's no such thing as 10v10 but with this, maybe 20v20!!!!!!!!
The map could be super small, maybe like 2000 diameter circle (instead of this 7000 beast)
Maybe give each faction an epic prebuilt base? Start with something like 1000 power/land, and with every kill they can claim a piece of enemy land, and with every death they can lose one piece.
So its kinda like risk or something, where the objective is to conquer the world.
What do you think? I think this would be a fun little 1-2 week experiment. Its not like we can possibly hurt the player base anymore XD (sorry)
Its entirely up to you admin. Maybe with some support you could give it a shot?

THIS IS NONSENSE.
People ruling the map because of potionspamming and a nocheat that doesnt works anymore.
Like clavus said he will probably make a vanilla map next map is what this server needs because of this things:
No enchants: no godswords so fair pvp and only skils
No potions: starting a fight with a potion of poisen and 2 harming pots aint fun.
Dupe: if there will be a dupe you cant dupe things like prot IV armour or sharpness V swords.
But, things need to be fixed like this:
Nocheat: it sucks, people that are flying, vcliping, whatever stop it.
Lagg spikes: idk what happend but EVERY FIGHT IS LAGGY
Killing villagers: 1.3 new special future: villager trading: it is awesome and very usefull but it ALL the villagers get killed after one day it isnt fun and the villages will stay safezone and if your fighting nexp to a village people will be pussy and og to the safezone
Edit: if this will be comming give the server a map reset in like 2 weeks if that is possible

I agree with all xDerpina's points, and then some.
I feel like everyone is feeling the same here, and a lot of points have been risen. My main concern is how much damage has been done to the player base. After four terrible maps (The duping map, Build contest, gorilla, and now this) why would anyone really want to play, or come back to this server. If I wasn't in Janitors, I wouldn't be playing at all. And when the server is struggling to stay around 30 people and its 7000 blocks in diameter, raiding is stupid. It takes 30 minutes to get to a base with people in it only to sit outside because there is no fair way to get in.
The lag is ridiculous, it has never been this bad. You can't fight, barely build or mine. I don't know if its worse for non-Europeans but its border line unplayable.
I will add some suggestions.
Why not let players be able to claim villages. This safe zone area is annoying and leads to all villagers being killed. If a village could be claimed and the villagers protected by a caring faction, there would be more on the map, and more to fight for. I can't stand how safe zone are used currently.
Enchanting. The trickiest of all subjects. The current system is silly and does nothing but create a larger gap in enchants than there ever was before. I just want to see all Protections over 2 gone, all sharpness over 2 gone. Please don't touch tools. High level protection armor is too easy to get if you have a system and too hard to deal with if you are unequipped. I remember having 14 levels of protection on my armor and walking into a base with 8 people, most in full diamond. I killed them all, got full inventory of diamond armor and continued onto next base. There was no skill, you just can't die. It ruins the game.
There needs to be a way to raid a base. Some way to siege it. Maybe tnt needs to be Buffed so it can destroy water cubes. Allow enderpearls back. Maybe even something crazy, such as, if a raiding player stands on a piece of claimed land for X amount of time, he is allowed to break blocks on it. If they leave that chunk, timer is reset.
Also I would like to say in light of all the terrible ideas, the public end was a silver lining.

You're preaching to the choir here. I know you're a newer player so, take this how you will. But Rangers used to be among the best factions of the server and we've handled more duped items and hack accusations than you would care to know about.
Now, I'm going to continue watching players, your faction included. But 95% of people I watch are just innocent players having some fun. As long as you guys stay on the right side of the moral line there will be no action taken and there will be no illusion of a witch hunt.
I'll say it again if it wasn't clear. Sorry for hastily replacing your base, it genuinely wasn't done with malicious intent and I tried to be as analytical as possible to gauge whether I should take action. My gauge wasnt configured properly but I made sure I could easily undo it if I had to. I'm still new to being an admin and I guess it'll take me a little while to figure things like that out. Sorry your faction took the burden of it.
All things considered, I am cool with you awesomeo and I am done venting. It's just really shocking when you find out your base has been labeled a dupe and removed, when you put so much time and energy into making it. All in all, thank-you for fixing it and being light on the ban hammer. Your actions on the server are making it better and more fun. And from your prospective I can understand the difficulty in making 100% correct choices regarding such complex scenarios 100% of the time. *I guess I should have labeled the letter "Dear Discord"*

I don’t know if this is some sort of witch hunt that is being pushed by Discord, but these actions against the faction LRG is ridiculous. Your claims that we duped anything hold no water because if you look at our entire inventory you would find minimal support considering what we have endured.
All the obby has been fairly mined using the combination of coding errors bought to minecraft thanks to Jeb, (red stone, water, lava) and the silly enchanting system. Combine that with a truly amazing obby generator designed by me that is super fast and efficient, and a person that has too much time to waste on this server, you get a obby sky base consisting of thousands of obby.
Redgander was falsely banned for using a coding error on the MrGreenGaming part, that many people and factions are aware of, and was most likely abused so much due to an End Portal monopoly that made the factions that had them grossly overpowered in more than one way. You said that we have stacked potions, yet I have never seen any in the faction and have only been a victim to them (*Cough* Discord).
You also said that the many of our resources were duped, and really why would we dupe more pointless diamonds and gold? Duping is an issue and CNC and neighboring factions are to blame for the overabundance of diamond blocks/god swords on the server. When they, and several other factions were in full production, the stuff passed around like herpes in High school. Whenever we killed someone and got stacks of tnt/diamonds/ and what not, we burned it. Little is lingering around but considering the vast amount we have come across its silly to assume we are dupers. And we are not going to burn the god swords when everyone else has them and we can’t compete. *Side note*Remove sharpnesses above 3, its ruining pvp when in full diamond you die in 3 hits.
People also assume we have unlimited supply of protection IV armor, which is again, wrong. We have little and more often than not, none, and this is simply a result of good fighters winning fights against bad fighters. Any pieces that we do have are a result of a brilliant xp farm designed by none other than ME.
One last point. Considering the system this sever has for banning players, its it funny how many large and once powerful factions are gone? Literally all that really seems left in terms of lasting size and power are LRG and Discord. I assume then, we are pretty fair factions, in terms of third party client abuse. If I recall correctly I think we have only had one noob member banned. And I say good riddance, we self police and try to make this server better for everyone in terms of fairness, as evident by the activity on reporting hacks and getting the real problems removed.
I may seem passionate about this issue but I feel like due to my actions, I have made LRG significantly more powerful, and therefore, somewhat responsible for the accusations.

1. That is pure speculation on your part. I remember a few days ago Monkeybalzac helped my faction, mining 4 hours or so straight mining obsidian with an enchanted pick. Also, due to faster picks and raids you don't need to mine for 5 hours.
The whole thing is ridiculous. I personally built the two obby generators for LRG and Looters that led to the construction of there obby bases. I did mine for 4 hours straight with an efficeny V pick with looters that I legitimately obtained by LRG's mob grinder. ACTUALLY!! Middymartin killed me while I was afk doing it and got it all, including my pick! I mined well over 30 stacks of that obby on this server. WHY!!! BECAUSE I AM CRAZY! And before I get a god sword or enchanted armor, I enchant picks, so I can get obby and fortune so ever diamond block gives me more. Its not cheating, its not duping, it just playing the server for more time than should be recommended. Awesomeo_5000 Personally I feel like your doing a good job policing the server, but really, calm down.

Well I just learned that the new anitcheat plugin doesn't prevent people from spamming instant damage pots like a machine gun by the stack.
Guess its time to invest in some recording software and help clean this server up. -

WHOA WHOA WHOA Bro, Give us a break! First of all you knocked Juan and I out in a massive lag spike, that only affected us? So we sat there getting hit, unable to move or do anything, so of course we died fast. Second, you guys are good, so yea, battles with you are difficult and you kill fast and swift, nice, good job! But com'on cut us some slack here, You know I can hold my place in PvP (Remember back a few maps when I fought you a lot and we killed eachother a few times) and Juan is better than me. So Good Job, enjoy the Lot! May we fight again later with a more even playing field for both sides

Is something wrong with the nether warts in this server or is it just me? I'm desperately trying to grow some without any luck (And yes, I'm in the nether). I've tried with and without light, standing there for maybe half an hour or more, without even one growing to stage two. Weirdly enough this problem didnt occur before some days before the restart, when they usually grew just fine. Has anyone else gotten this problem or am I doing something wrong?
I have been growing them for sometime now and the server has 40-50 people, no luck. Its really annoying. I have 45 planted on soul sand, and nothing, no growth.

Recently after a long time and a lot of work my friend (bob5bob) and I (monkeybalzac) enchanted a diamond pick that has fortune III on it. Now we mine together and when I find diamonds I call him over and we use it on the find. Recently we found a patch of 6 diamond blocks and got 12 diamonds out of it.
My fear: If I, mining in one location, and bob5bob, mining in another, find diamonds at the same time (say a patch of 8 diamonds blocks at each local) and one of us mines both patches with the fortune pick, we could easily get as many as 40 diamonds in a 5 minute period!!! I don't know how the banning for xray thing works, but if it notices we just got that many diamonds that quick, will we get banned?
We got pics of the pick we use, and so far we have only used it once on a patch of 6 diamond blocks and got 12 diamonds (because mining for diamonds legit actually takes a long time).

Any version of the above suggestions has me as gitty 16 year old girl the night of her junior prom. I used to be EXTREMELY active on l4g. I used to build super structures for LRG, and made them the legendary power house we remember. But for a long time, there has been no place for building anything other than water cubes. I would be thrilled to construct an empire (not lead, I have had enough of dealing with 12 yo scrubs)!!! You wouldn't believe some of the things I have made on other servers!! I am getting out the pen and paper, time to start the schematics.
