  1. Are these admins kids? Since when saying "lol" and "make it 100" is harrasment? "constantly" annoying and making fun of me in public??? "constantly? seriously? I say "make it 100" and I`m constantly annoying you? How do you even know I was on topic, and not talking about cash? compare my "make it 100" "harrasment" to what martii16/28 said...and you dare to tell me I make fun of you? jesus christ...I had enough of retarded admins and dumb servers...you can go fuck yourselfs with your servers and play with newbs. Rogue and the others were right. I asked ERROR once, why isn't clavus listening to the players, and he replied: "Clavus wants the server to be vanilla". HOW, just HOW the fuck can a server with "upgrades/perks" can be vanilla?!?! and nikky, if you think showing your "skills" on a server with upgrades makes you a good player, then your dumb like those admins. I`m glad I will join Axon in the banlist, please make it permanent.

    But seriously, It IS expensive to run these servers, each month they have to pay from their own money because there simply isnt enough donations.

    If you would give some attention to the players, maybe you would receive some donations.

    i dont know what is wrong with you guys you are just sitting there. and look how empty the cp\ctf server is.

    you guys dont even care about it.

    And maybe we have other stuff to do, because this isn't a paid job you know, rather an expensive hobby.

    A new fake clients plugin is on the way (if Ywa doesn't hit a brick wall).

    We won't add ingame voting for various reasons, we have admins for that.

    We won't add team scramble.

    We do listen to you guys and we do discuss all options. But we know when to drop the bad ideas and just keep on going with what we have.

    What? I see you everyday playing on the TF2 servers. You don't have time to fix server problems but you have time to play? I don't have the right to judge you, but still...

  4. After reading that topic I decided to go and do a bit of investigating into CP and CTF servers I found that in the cases of CTF's it was 24-Hour One Map cycle maps which had the most players, followed by CTF-Only then by the one Other CP/CTF I found which was empty.

    As For CP, CP maps tended to work well when they had a cycle, The average amount of players on CP Cycles was alot higher than on Single Server one-CP servers.

    In Conclusion I reckon we should unsplit the CP/CTF and Abandon one or the other. If It manages to get players in that can only be a good thing. The only problem would be deciding which to keep.

    Note: I made this a seperate for a reason. So If you're replying only reply about wat I've said here, Don't go off at a tangent and talk about other CPCTF problem,s Thats why theres another topic.

    Rogue is right, and to be honest, everyday I see mostly the same players on the PL server, so if the old players are leaving, the server will die. Face the reality, the servers are lagging, there are always stacked teams and new players are leaving because of no scramble vote but we are still playing on the PL server because we are like a family, and the game is not always about killing and being #1 on the scoreboard. After all, TF 2 is a fun game. Of course this doesn't mean that we are gonna play forever on those servers just because of this. We are getting bored and sick of the same problems. Your server is not the only server out here with upgrades. 2 of the servers are mostly empty and you don't even care that you are wasting money. TC said on the crits topic that removing the crits will make players leave the server, and then on the PL new maps topic you said that "Borax" and "Cranetop" were hated and players were leaving, yet you said that if you would want to add new maps you would add the "Borax" and "Cranetop" maps back on the server. Won't that make players leave the server once again? Seriosly now...you admins are dumb. I don't know where did you learn how to run a community. I don't play 6 hours a day anymore on the PL server like I used to do because I`m bored of the same maps and same settings. How hard is to add some maps? You are just lazy and that's the simple truth about TC.

    Ugh, I hate it when guys like you come here and lecture us on how to run a community that we've already been successfully running for years. The problem with the payload server is that there are so few official payload maps, and once your custom maps outnumber your official maps, a lot of people don't come because 1) they don't want to download stuff or 2) they assume custom maps are of worse quality than the official ones. Cranetop and borax were not hated, and certainly of good quality, but players left when the maps came on.

    Do you know 100% that people don't like downloading custom maps? I know servers that has over 5 custom maps and the server is full always. I choose only popular and high rated maps from the fpsbanana site. Why just don't add some of the custom maps and see if the server won't be full anymore. Try it for 1 day or 2 and see the difference. What's so hard?

  7. The 2fort one is good, I really like it, especially the explosion at the end and how there are a few way for the bomb to travel, however I dont like the narrow-ness of the stairs I managed to get stuck in the bomb and then in the floor because of it.

    Beer one is good, i dont see why it needs a custom cart, but there are plenty of places to defend/attack from.

    Cottage is good, bit over-bright, quite open, although compared to other maps, this would be a fresh change. Although the explosion at the end is slightly dissapointing, it doesnt actually kill you.

    Crisis is horribly unoptimised, Im getting periods of 10 fps. Would be horrible to play PL on this map. Visually unappealing, looks incredibly basic in places.

    I mainly choose crisis just because it's a ghost themed map and it's night outside. It's a good map for spies lovers, but yes it's quite basic, nothing original.

    Anyway...are we gonna get some of the new maps?

  8. We should have two week trial. Turn crits off for those two weeks and if theres player decline by the end of the two weeks turn them back on.

    How about just leave the server 1 week with crits off and then another week with crits on and see the difference between how many players are online in the "crits-off" week and "crits-on" week since you want to check if players will leave because of crits being off.

    And yes, we know how to run a community. I've done nothing else (well, almost nothing else) the past 5 years. And unlike other communities, Mr. Green is still alive.

    I really wonder how...... :mellow: anyway about the crit thing, a vote should do the trick like others said. If the admins can't decide, then let the players decide.

    Oh..I get it...players -> popularity -> money...so you want money from players...but since you don't give a shit about the players...I don't see how your getting any money. Well let's see, you don't care if the players are "old" or "new" to the Mr. Green servers, and that's dumb because one of your goals would be keep old players on your servers and hoping that with time they will donate because they could see that this server has "friendly" admins and a "nice" community. Instead, your like begging the players to leave the Mr. Green servers. If that's your real goal, then your doing a great job at the moment. At least that's my point of view, and I don't think I`m wrong about it.

    Okey, so...new maps. I think I`m speaking for most of the PL players out there when I`m saying that were starting to get bored of the same maps. The PL server is one of the most popular Mr. Green server, meaning that most of the time the server is full of players so adding some new maps won't make the server less playable. At this moment, the PL server has only 4 maps: Badwater, Dustbowl, Hoodoo and Goldrush. So we have 3 small maps, and 1 big map. Why not add some big maps like the Badwater? The main reason why I`m asking for bigger maps is that on small maps players don't require a certain skill level to win. Probably u will think that I`m whining about this, but I`m not. I just know that there are a lot of players out there on the PL server that are good players and are sick of "dumb" players that don't even know how to build a sentry in a good place. There's a big difference between the small sized maps and the big ones. Small maps don't require perfect aiming or good medics or anything similar. Why? Because there are small choke points, small rooms, small corners for sentries etc. meaning that some classes have a disadvantage against most of the classes. I think u noticed that when you play the 3 basic small maps (Goldursh, Hoodoo and Dustbowl), the team that has 5 soldiers or 5 demos with/out swords/axes will win the match. On the other hand, on the bigger maps like the Badwater, the team that really uses teamwork is gonna win, because it's not easy anymore to destroy a sentry and kill a player with ease. Simple put, on the small maps, you need numbers to win, and on the big ones, you need teamwork. That's why I would like more big maps, after all, we only have just 1 big map and the other 3 are smalls ones.

    I hope I made my point and I thank you for sparing some time to read this.
