  1. While the server seems to be in the "time to change things so that players actually like it" mode, I think that most of us would appreciate a timed teleport for /f home. It's stupid when someone's getting raided, and they instantly f home  when they get low on health. Some people that I've seen even have macros to just push a button to go home while hitting me at the same time, not even having to type the command.

     

    I know a long teleport time is boring, but even a short three second teleport would make pvp a lot more interesting.

    Exactly.  This server encourages pvp, but an instant /f home command gives instant relief from attacks.  The "enemy too close" might also need to be lowered because people would have a timer on their teleport.

  2. All I'd suggest is the removal of Prot IV.

     

     

    It's easily explainable in the MoTD, detracts little from the actual minecraft experience and would make combat a little more dynamic. See if players enjoy it/hate it for a map, and then go from there. You still have every other enchantment to work towards, you can still have OP swords, it's just shortening battles and making people rely on teamwork a little more. 

     

    What needs fixing on the dynmap shot?

    Oops sorry, I didn't make that clear. There was no one one the server so I took a screen of dynmap to show it.

  3. This plugin would need to disable any enchant about 'x' for enchanting combat tools,  combining items with anvils, and enchanting books.  It would take alot of time to create if one does not exist currently.

  4. I personally loved the enchanting tower map. People had to use legit tactics to win like flint and steeling or lava bucketting to win any fight. It was fun. You could do that again or simply disable the placing of bookshelves. Perhaps disable higher enchants altogether, as you use anvils t combine stuff.

    Right, it was great!  But new players who didn't understand it were put off by the idea and left.  If this is implemented, make sure it is on the Server Message rotation and very clear at spawn.  If enchants could be limited without restricting enchanting tables, this might just work.  

     

    Again, this restriction will also reduce the need for factions to have a mob xp grinder, which will help new players to have a chance on server esp if they don't xray like most big factions...

     

    And yes, prot 4 sharp 5 fights are beyond annoying... not to say they break if not repaired after 2-3 fights as well :/

  5. I don't see how you guys enjoy Protection IV fights. I think ultimately that's what put me off Minecraft PvP. All tactics and teamwork went out the window only to be replaced by 10 minutes of left clicking and potion spamming. 

    So true....  though enchanting does add something to do when there is no one to raid :/

Bro, so many hacks are assumed by if the person who gets pwned.  "Aimbot" is generally an accurate person with a bow or sword unless you have video proof.  If you want to prove that they hack, record the fight.  If you say they hack after you get killed, you better have proof or you just sound like a spoiled child.

  7. Not sure how much it lags the server, but I can recall crashing the server once when I was going to empty my zombiefarm a few maps ago. I walked from the afkroom to the zombieroom, and once I got a couple of blocks away from the zombies that had been gathering for an hour or so, the server crashed. I suppose it's the source of much of the lag as it's the server that keeps track of all the mobs and all the information about them, which demands resources. Some hundred mobs might not affect the server that much, but when you get thousands upon thousands of mobs that the server has to keep track of and deal with 20-30 times a second, that has to demand quite a bit of resources when it gets many enough of them. The tickrate aka lag on the server varies through the day, so could there be any big factors other than the amount of players and present mobs that can be heavily impacting the variation in tickrate/lag?

    Are you sure it wasn't your internet/client? Alot of times your client gets overloaded and it crashes

    Nether stars are cool, wither skulls AREN'T.

    Some people having all the withers they want would be way overpowered. I hear that withers can even blast through obsidian, making them extremely powerful.

    Withers can break obsidian. Their blasts do not affect it, but if you get under someone's base, where the base is between you and the wither, it with break the obby to try to get to you. However, with a sky base or maybe even an underground base, it will be very difficult.

  9. yep. I am quite bored of the server at the moment.

    I had hopes that it would get better at the beginning of the map reset, but it just got worse. Alot of good pvper's have left. What happens to me is that I am only able to chase people around the live map hoping they have something decent to fight with, and then find out that they are just noobs. The challenges in fighting have gone away because of the reasons already stated... lag, pearls restriction, and combat tag bugs.

    Please change some things about this server - it is losing players rapidly because of serious problems.

    Can we get rid of Invisibility potions in 1.4 as it will make pvp bad.

    Don't worry, i asked to Notch to put the Splash Milk.

    So if you see someone invisible you can throw the milk :D The same thing for the poison.

    Notch isnt developing MC any more

  11. Ok I have had problems with people teleporting to their home when I'm 32 blocks away in the Wilderness. Could the admins inspect this? Also I think we should remove the ability to teleport home when there is an enemy within 32 blocks even on your faction home to prevent coward fights.
