Hi folks, below I've listed some games I'd like to recommend from the Steam Winter Sale . I chose them because in my opinion they all look cool (even the older games), play well, are cheap, and have received good reviews. You might love or hate them, I dunno.. Perhaps you'd like to add your own recommendations? Thanks.

If I had to recommend just four games then my short-list would consist of..

. The Serious Sam series. Endless blasting, easy to get into.

. Postal 2. Dark humor coupled with free-roam thuggery.

. The Half-Life 2 series. Huge scale, some creative weaponry (gravity gun!), and a gripping story-line.

. Metro Redux bundle. As with Hl2.
