ZS is lagging

Zombie Survival has been lagging for me lately like there is minor lag constantly then major (slideshow-esque) lag every 2 mins for 5 secs. My hardware's fine settings at recommended, internet working properly according to SpeedTest.net and PingTest.net. I don't think this is my fault I suspect its probably the server's fault but I would like confirmation that its the server not me and when this might be fixed.

GMod is known to be unstable and unoptimized on both clients and servers. I suppose it's the server. We're getting new hardware this week so we hope we can resolve the lag a bit.

I played yesterday and today and I've also been victim of the lag but I think that's because there were a lot of people (around 30-35) when I came.

Then if it's not the cause it's something from the server.

Also, it's a map related issue. Ravenholm gives a lot of lag because there aren't any huge walls in the map and such.

Yeah, Gmod is very cool but it just unstable, it happens to every server ones in a while.

Sometimes I'm actually glad it isnt very buisy just because of the lag.
