Nielscorn Posted January 24, 2011 Share Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) Hey guys, FIRST IMAGES UPLOADED!!Some of you might remember me, haven't been playing that much lately, worked on a map like a year ago(i'm not a map expert, far from it!!) and last year i worked a lot on a map themed on a mall for zombie survival! Nielscorn Posted January 27, 2011 Author Share Posted January 27, 2011 btw, this is just a small portion of the actual map... like 5%...i'll explain the design a little: 3 floors with open shops and closed ones, 2-3 ways to get to each floor, not too small, cramped (i basicly hate maps like that, i like semi-open rooms, where you can roam around and see the zombies come at you)more later! I think you should whiten the place up a ittle to make it feel more like a real mall but not bad so far.I understand, i can still adjust later ofcourse but i want a mall that has already been overrun by zombies, not the kind of mall that looks new and such, ofc this proves to be more challenging( a clean, new looking mall is easier to make...) and ofcourse it wont be as dark everywhere... Look forward to a basement thats flooded with water(70%) and many suprising breakable parts of the map that can suddenly fuck you up or help you A LOT!Ps, i'll need a lot of testers though, i really want this map to be balanced and fun! Looking forward to it when you guys come in the map and tell me what to change !Expect map to be 50-60% complete in about a week or maybe 2! Quote Link to comment

(but do the light entites be farther from the light prop itself.-The lights... omg the red lights hurt my eyes. It looks ugly when its all red.-Mmkay. The map is blocky. And too spaceful + its very big as you said. You can stand ANYWHERE in the mall and shoot the zombies, because its far for them to reach humans!-Bad use of "metalgrategrate" textures. -Uhm. A horse in the middle of... whatever it is... Well uhm, random.Pro's:-Decals and textures usage.Anyway.The map is very random and big. I know, its under progress but... This map is just weird.Keep on working, but I can't really see the future of this map.Gonna do a map myself right now. Im just too bored these days. I helped alot of ppl already if you don't know if you can trust me or not.Just keep that in mind. (basicaly i help with entities and geometry. Also including leaks and optimisation).
