Every several months, Pootis clans from all over the world transport a single Pootis egg to their nest, where Female Pootises will take care of that egg until it hatches. However, their constant cries draw in Rival pootis clans as the two clans fight over the single egg, and the resulting chaos attracts Gottams, the humble harmless Soupcans and the Pootises greatest predatory, the GRAVY.
