  1. erm im finding it extremely hard to figure out how to use the ETF2L website so friendly manner would be good for now, maybe if we have another then we could make it official.

So shall we set a date and time then? B)

how about Wednesday at 8pm GMT over on our server?

    I'll rally up the troops!

That sounds good to us, most of the players from my team (Team #2) have time on that date.

  2. Since both teams are full up, couldn't mr green possibly make a third team.

and also according to the team spreadsheet (at least the way i was reading it) no one was in the demoman slot for team 2, so could i possibly take that space (even though im a pretty crappy demoman, even though im scottish)

I left the spot open because I got too many demomen. It's a tough choice for me.

  3. @ McGee & Dark1thought : Currently, there's only one more player for reserve allowed on Team #1 ( Heavy, Engineer, Sniper, Spy ) ( Notte backed out ), and Team #2 got reserve left for ( Scout and Engineer )

@ PEPPER : The SteamID you supplied on Etf2l is wrong, which made me unable to add you to the Team. I added you on Steam about 3 days ago, but you still havent accepted my friends request. I'm sorry, but by now theres other people who want to play demo, too.

And Notte, I hope your grandma gets better :(

  4. I'm thinking about making a second team, and letting Clavus take control of one of them. Even though we still need a engi and a spy for the first one.

As of right now there's already 3 conflict cases (Demo/Heavy/Scout)

Also note we need some backups (they call em 'mercs' on the contest page) in case some players of the original team can't play at the specified time.

No, mercs are freelancers, which can be called in case we cant bring a reserve player. As the name says, they are mercanaries for the team.

  5. Well, it's not a requirement to a have a microphone, but atleast the scout, medic, soldier and spy should have one, because they are the classes that forward enemies and their positions the most.

To Emra : The group phase usually lasts about a month. Replacements should be able to play at least more than one class, so that we'd be able to cover most classes with replacements in the end.

The gamemodes going to be played are : Payload, Capture the Flag (Both, attack/defense and 5 CP's) and King of the hill ( If we get further than the group stage ).

The maps being played are listed here Highlander Rules, under section 2.1.6

  6. The signups for the eagerly-awaited Highlander Community Challenge have just been opened.

I suggest you take a look at the page on Etf2l.org, if you haven't done so already.

Most of the bigger communities are sending in at least a team or two, and I hope we'll do the same.

We need to have a ETF2L-Buddy for organizing and scheduling our matches, and if there's no better volunteer for the position of that, I'd like to fill that position, since I have the necessary experience in the Etf2l League. The ETF2L Buddy is only allowed to play Pyro, Engineer, Heavy or Spy (Classes that aren't usually used in the league). If I'm gonna be the Buddy, I'd like playing as our pyro.

If you are willing to participate, make sure that you have time from 20:00-21:30 CET on Sundays, because that is when teams usually practice and have matches. Make sure that you have a working microphone, as having a good communication is a must have for every team.

The team would have to consist of at least 10, or at the most of 14. (If there's more participants we could always open a second team.)

Every class is used once, the players 10 to 14 serve the role as replacement players, if a player from the regular team of 9 is missing for a match. ( The replacements will also get the medal )

The basic rundown of the rules is : All weapons allowed, no crits, official maps.

I hope we get enough people together for a team, thanks.

  7. If we end up having to make 2 teams, because there are too many, I say we should put the top players in one, and the "less good" in the other.

If we mix them, no team is gonna get anywhere. If we dont, one might be able to get somewhere.

Are we going to make a proper list of who can play for sure / which class soon? :D

  8. I'd love to play,too.

I'm fine with any class, preferable scout, engi, pyro, sniper though. ( In that order )

Time... I can basically play anytime.

Will there only be one team, or 2?

If I can't get in the first anymore, and would be one of the five backup players, I'd rather want to go as a player in the second..
