I'm meant to be revising, so naturally 9Gag becomes appealing.

The news has now pinned it on a 'potent new form of LSD' which is media terminology for a loose analogue of LSD (an analogue of LSA, naturally occuring) at BEST. If it was drug induced it'd more likely be PCP. I have never had the urge to eat someone's face off, or ever imagining feeling compelled to bite someones face off on acid.

It honestly depends on the how the chemicals have an effect on neurotransmitters. It's entirely likely that certain variants of LSD can cause neural 'ports' (to say it simply) which inhibits the flow of signals from one part of the mind to another. In this case it would be both the logical and emotional areas of the brains. Coincidentally, these 2 areas are also the easiest to manipulate through chemical means.

Just some food for thought.

Nah, LSD does not have this sort of effect. At all. For one, you have little to no apetite, two you still feel pain, three, it's hard to move around in general, let alone coherently chase someone down a high way and rip their face off with you toothy pegs.

I looked more into this subject and the way LSD came into it was an interview with a cop who said in passing something like 'they must have been high on LSD or something'. Which everyone took as gospel.
