RE5 was a great co-op game though.

I think the Ico & Shadow Of The Colossus Collection did feature a HD make-over.
SWEET! Wish it was coming to PC too! Damn.. The graphics were good at the time anyway, have you ever seen gameplay of it? It's hard as hell if you don't know what you're doing...
And what about Resident Evil 6? There are rumors that there will be one sixth Resident Evil? I love this game

Hmm, I'd like to be excited by that but frankly the last one left a lot to be desired. RE4 was an amazing game, actually scary too, whereas RE5 was more 'in your face' novelty scares and just better graphics with a worse story line. Ill probably watch a lets play of it,

Some other things not on there:
- Rivers, ravines, abandoned mines, strongholds (these will be filled with mobs, but people on the server could just go in and kill the mobs then block up the entrance and they'd have a big working fort!)
- Bows zoom in and do critical hits when they are fully pulled out
- He may be adding a way to farm animals, so you can reproduce them basically, possibly 1.9
- The height of the worlds has been raised, so people can build taller things now.
- Better lighting, night time is slightly brighter with a hazey purple feel, and the torches give off a warm glow at night.
- I dont think the torches emit light when you hold them, didnt see it in the 1.8 demo I saw.
- The XP you gain from killing things DOESN'T have a use yet. They will make it so that you can spend the points on things but as of now they haven't done anything yet. That'll probably be released in 1.9 cause he said this update is too big to fit into 1.8

No, these are all upcoming games that are coming out BEFORE 2012 (and aren't shit). Just my suggestion for games that will fill the gap till GW2 or other good games come out in 2012, the underlined ones are the ones i'm looking forward to
BF3, Skyrim and future Minecraft releases are on my list. Keeping my eye on the Ico & Shadow Of The Colossus Collection too, since I never played the originals. Dead Island and Batman can wait for price drops. Don't know about Uncharted 3, Ywa wants me to buy it at release but I rather wait for a price drop so I don't have to pay a fortune.
From what I see Clav the shadow of the colossus collection are simply the original games but ported to PS3, like I said they are amazing games none the less and you should definitely buy it.. The music on them is incredible too, not that you care haha, I'm just very into music

The Elder Scrolls IV: Skyrim is a must-have, all others in your list are grey. L.A. Noire is a second cool.

It seems some people are getting bored of the games they have at the minute, we've been in kind of a dead zone for new games lately. Here are some games that are coming out before 2012 to hopefully keep you going till Guild Wars 2 or CounterStrike: Global Offense are out.. God help that you would go outside or something crazy like that!
Up coming PC games
- MineCraft 1.8/1.9 is out VERY soon which adds a whole new level to the game, particularly the L4G faction server. If you don't have it BUY IT!
- Battlefield 3 is out October 25th,
- Skyrim 11th November.... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
- Dead Island September 6th, the trailer was awesome, not so sure about the gameplay.. Looked like it could be yet another 'slice n dice' type zombie game (I hope not). We'll have to see
- The Lord of the Rings Online: Rise of Isengard, September 27th. The first LoTR game was amazing, it was released years and years ago and is still one of the best grossing of its genre I believe? Might be quite a good game,
- Batman: Arkham City, October 18. I wasn't a fan of the first one, but some people were so, enjoy.
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Who cares?
- Assassins Creed revelations, some time in November.. I like the assassins creed games, though I will probably just watch a lets play of it. Its not the type of game I'd play over like
- Uncharted Waters Online, 28th August. Good story line, got best game of the year too, not the best IMO.
And a couple of console games, (booo)
- Gears Of War: 3, September 20th. Not a bad game, some prefer it more than others
- Resident Evil 4 on XBOX and PS3 (finally), September 21st.. I love this game so much, without a doubt one of my favourite child hood games, they had better not change it at all..
- Ico & Shadow Of The Colossus Collection. I used to play Shadow of the Colossus on the PS2 when I was young, amazing game.. Bloody hard as well, gives you a sense of accomplishment when you beat a boss in it. I would never have finished it without tutorials, sometimes played it for hours before I found a way to even START to kill a boss!
Thank you for suggestions! It's hard to remember every single game thats coming out.. Hopefully this will help people out, if I didnt put in your suggestion thats because it's not coming out in 2011 (Diablo 3, Mass Effect 3 etc.)

There still isn't a release date right? hope it'll be soon, I'm bored to death with the current games I got.
I dont think it will be out till early most probably late 2011 earliest, maybe some time in november, though thats just a guess.. Games like companies like this or Blizzard dont like to announce release dates because they try and perfect the game as much as they can before they release it to save people picking fault and having lots of glitches in it like they do with the rushed CoD games..
I'll post a new topic of upcoming games this year you can check out, then people can add any thing else they knows coming,

There needs to be a separate topic for officer applications so instead of saying "make me an officer
" , people who want to be an officer can then post an application saying 'Why do they want to be an officer?' and 'Do they have any past experience organizing events?' (as there will most likely be guild events in gw2). The forums could then vote who they want to be the other officers.There will be, read the post above! We won't simply be letting people be moderators because they ask, we'll base it more on things like their general attitude with other players, having a good relationship with the us, how often they come go on the game and experience of managing groups of people. Things like being experienced with Guild Wars 1 aren't a necessity, we want everyone to have a shot at becoming a moderator if they have a good attitude! Makes it fairer for new players,

This is great! I think we have about 15 members so far already,
I will make a more official thread about joining the guild in the not-so-distant future, so then people will be better updated if they ACTUALLY want to be in the guild and can join it officially..
We will be recruiting officers too, we will be voting for officers ourselves - and we will not just give people officer status because we simply ‘know them’ or ‘like them’. Seeing as the Guild is already founded upon this, it wouldn’t work as completely new people would see no hope in advancement.

But if all you have to do is download one file and drag it to the plugin folder and then you can have the really simple ones like sign editing and the compass add on, seems worth it to me. And I know Clav hates the trees being only cut at the bottom so thought he might find it useful,
With the CraftBook thing you can enable and disable things though which is why i think it should be added. For example it lets you do more things with red stone, like carry a signal through walls, things that are just useful and should be in the game anyway,

Given, some do, but not all of them - In most cases they either run in both or are defaulted to Admin and can be changed to all.

Yes but PC gamers will have a much bigger advantage of having used mouses for YEARS and played CS:S for ages as well, its not like this is a new game its more of an upgrade, you could compare it to veteran TF2 players fightinb free-to-play people!
Will Left4Green be removing the CS:S server and putting up a CS:GO one instead, or hosting a new one?

By the way, heres some plugin suggestions from my experience of hosting, ones that don't affect the game play in any way and just add convenience or gameplay value cause I know its mean to be a fairly vanilla server.
- SimpleSignEdit lets you edit signs by right clicking on them, saves having to knock them down to have to type it all out again if you make a mistake
- A VERY dumbed down version of CraftBook or similar. Things like bridges may be abused in some way but other parts of it like the gates and lifts could be really neat considering people make castles and such (would only really benefit people with castles
- ChopTree, lets you cut down trees like cacti, i.e. you destroy the lowest block and the rest fall down. This helps stop people leaving the top of trees and doesn't really change anything apart from saving a few seconds of chopping.
- lpmcnavigator, makes the compass much more useful for servers like this. When you right click a compass it sets its destination to the place you were looking, so people can go out to find other bases to raid or whatever then can guide other people to it instead of wandering around for hours or using the online map to get to people, which can be annoying to do. Then if you left click it returns the compass to pointing at your spawn
- SimpleAlias, lets you change peoples names in the chat. Is just nice to have for people that dont want to use their normal name (doesnt affect banning or anything)
- longdistancetorch, lets you place torches that are far away instead of being a block away from you, which again is useful for doing large bases.

I can't wait for the map reset, TheProdiGuild have big plans for their base! I want to do lots more piston work too..
1.8 will be out in a couple of weeks but keep in mind that they have to wait for a stable bukkit plugin to be released, which from my experience of running servers can be a quick job or take a couple of weeks. This is quite a big update so it may very well take a couple of weeks unless notch has given them a beta to work with (hes done that sometimes before)
So anyway what I'm saying is dont count on it being in 2 weeks, and you may well want to keep a backup of your 1.7 game incase the server can't be updated (unless the server host (Clav?) wants to just upload the server as normal so people can explore and stuff if thats not a problem with when factions are installed)
Oh and, there will be strongholds added, people will be able to claim a stronghold and just fortify the entrance and have a huge fully working base.. Kinda unfair, but first come first serve I guess.

Aahhh but you can plug a controller into your computer for games like that! That way you get the benefits of far better graphics, more servers, mods and console commands and still get to play it like a console,

The console gamers will be just torn apart.. PC gaming is and always will be miles ahead of console gaming imo
They wont release it on XBOX as a cross platform thing because the XBOX has loads of privacy crap and are restricted in what they can do cause of how the console works.. Hence why Valve likes the PS3 and gives them exclusive stuff,
Hope they change the sounds a bit though. Kinda sucks forking out for an 'upgraded' counter strike and they dont even change the basic sounds/radio commands on it..

No problem! Heres my favourite ones (some you'll of definitely seen already, its just easier to make a list)
- The Road
- I Am Legend (alternate ending, the normal 'christian' ending they used is really disappointing)
- Planet of the apes, the old ones and the new one, wasnt keen on the one released a few years ago.
- The Triffids, (newer one), a film about some plant/alien type things that start killing everyone
- The Happening. Not the best film but its certainly not bad, its where everyone starts to kill themselves its quite weird, worth watching though.
- 28 weeks later, most people have seen that. GREAT film up to the ending. The ending's so crap.
- 12 Monkeys. Scifi type thing where some virus kills everyone and humans move underground, then this man who they think is crazy tries to get them to move back
- The TV series The Walking Dead. Its really good, you can watch it like a film, just download it from the internet or something

Its got Adrian Webster as the lead character (Aragon from lord of the rings), where he and his son are trying to survive in a kind of post apocalyptic world, where everyones resorted to cannibalism and everyone just tries to kill each other. Really macabre, but you get into it quite a lot! Sounds like your thing,

I am going to be a char necromancer. Why? Because necromancers are freakin' sweet! And the Char look bad ass as hell.. All of the ProdigalSons leaders might be Char in fact, we'll have to see.
Is anyone planning on being an elementist? They'll be really helpful with rangers 'cause they can make a wall of fire and turn the rangers arrows into fire arrows.

May well be more, thats all I can remember though.
Lighting changes:
- You can change the brightness using a slider on the options
- At night time there is a purple glow
- Torches give off a warm orange glow at night time, lava also appears much brighter
- The day/night transition is completely smooth instead of chunky
- If you are in a dark area such as a cave, when you come out and look at the light your screen goes slightly blurry and flared for a short time (like real life)
Technical changes:
- Faster chunk rendering
- Better seed generator
- New animations for explosions and other things
- Every mob drops more useful things now. All animals except for sheep drop their own food, and zombies now drop rotten meat. I assume this will be cooked and turned to good meat or be given some other use.
- The XP system. Keep in mind that this is useless at the moment, they dont have anything to spend the experience you gain on, its purely for showing off with.
