i dont get this part: I hate it when guys like you come here and lecture us on how to run a community that we've already been successfully running for years.

i dont know what is wrong with you guys you are just sitting there. and look how empty the cp\ctf server is.

you guys dont even care about it.

rogue is coming with some plans and you guys dont even try to do it.

rogue cares much more about the servers then you guys do..

And maybe we have other stuff to do, because this isn't a paid job you know, rather an expensive hobby.

A new fake clients plugin is on the way (if Ywa doesn't hit a brick wall).

We won't add ingame voting for various reasons, we have admins for that.

We won't add team scramble.

We do listen to you guys and we do discuss all options. But we know when to drop the bad ideas and just keep on going with what we have.

well i think you guys ( especially ywa) is online the whole day i mean he is always online in the irc. so you guys do have enough time to do something right!?!

We have no map voting because we have a map cycle. This way people won't vote for the same 2 maps every time.

there is some thing to change that. that they cant choose the same maps every time again.

and i am not a new guy mister. i have the most playing time in the whole fucking tf2 servers of this community. and tc wants new players they need to listning to players ingame they know what players think about there servers. because they always say that in chatbox.

this aren't bad ideas teamscramble is needed in pl because only one clan dominate the whole server even me is in that clan. and i am talking about it because other players dont like it. and i speak for all the players that are not on this forum. i give about the players in the servers. and players ingame like map voting so THEY can choose the maps. didnt knew did was a job for an admin give the players ingame more choice. you and me know players love this and keep coming back to your servers

Why add a map that was hated before by some players? You said earlier that you don't like seeing players that leave the server, yet you added a map that is gonna make some players leave. I wasted my time for nothing...not big surprise.

Dude, He jus tgave you a custom map for the server and you go and complain, TV have their reasons for doing what they do, I can't fathom whats going on half the time, but then they do something you've asked for you appreciate it. Not complain.

Ywa is still against adding too many custom maps, so only cranetop is back in the cycle now.

ok now is my question why atomicus needed to make this topic. and manage some time to find new maps to add, that you dont reward him to upload 2 of this maps dustbowl is good i dont see that as an custom map any more and cranetop is good as well. but players would like to see new maps. is it the players that decide or only one person up here in the tc.

[An Idea for Solving the CP/CTF problem]

After reading that topic I decided to go and do a bit of investigating into CP and CTF servers I found that in the cases of CTF's it was 24-Hour One Map cycle maps which had the most players, followed by CTF-Only then by the one Other CP/CTF I found which was empty.

As For CP, CP maps tended to work well when they had a cycle, The average amount of players on CP Cycles was alot higher than on Single Server one-CP servers.

In Conclusion I reckon we should unsplit the CP/CTF and Abandon one or the other. If It manages to get players in that can only be a good thing. The only problem would be deciding which to keep.

Note: I made this a seperate for a reason. So If you're replying only reply about wat I've said here, Don't go off at a tangent and talk about other CPCTF problem,s Thats why theres another topic.

Rogue is right, and to be honest, everyday I see mostly the same players on the PL server, so if the old players are leaving, the server will die. Face the reality, the servers are lagging, there are always stacked teams and new players are leaving because of no scramble vote but we are still playing on the PL server because we are like a family, and the game is not always about killing and being #1 on the scoreboard. After all, TF 2 is a fun game. Of course this doesn't mean that we are gonna play forever on those servers just because of this. We are getting bored and sick of the same problems. Your server is not the only server out here with upgrades. 2 of the servers are mostly empty and you don't even care that you are wasting money. TC said on the crits topic that removing the crits will make players leave the server, and then on the PL new maps topic you said that "Borax" and "Cranetop" were hated and players were leaving, yet you said that if you would want to add new maps you would add the "Borax" and "Cranetop" maps back on the server. Won't that make players leave the server once again? Seriosly now...you admins are dumb. I don't know where did you learn how to run a community. I don't play 6 hours a day anymore on the PL server like I used to do because I`m bored of the same maps and same settings. How hard is to add some maps? You are just lazy and that's the simple truth about TC.

The problem with the payload server is that there are so few official payload maps, and once your custom maps outnumber your official maps, a lot of people don't come because 1) they don't want to download stuff or 2) they assume custom maps are of worse quality than the official ones. Cranetop and borax were not hated, and certainly of good quality, but players left when the maps came on.

other servers put map packs on there own server so people can download it there. and i dont think people got many problems with downloading maps. downloading sounds and all that bullshit is annoying. and the lag is still there

and yes you already run this community so long. but isnt it time to change something. you and me know there has been changed a lot the last years. otherwise this server would still running with 30 players. i knew from a lot of guys they left because of the upgrades in the servers. but thats more the problem of the teams are not good scrambled. so add teamscramble.

now i want a question on this form one of the tc. why not test some things for 2 weeks or more. i dont see the problem because the server is already not running. its sad about the player count that its gone that helped this server a lot and you know it. i saw that some times when there was no fake players count its just not running. but yeah then you need to try something new. crits vote, map vote, and teamscramble would let me and a lot of guys up here and in the other servers come to this server again.

and think about to get teamscramble in pl as well. because there is only one clan left on the pl servers and tyhats the lol family so its always stacked. and new guys dont like this even we dont like this because its getting boring.

I think the bloody lag on every server is causing some problems as well. And because i cant reply on the crits thing topic any more. you wouuldnt add crit vote because of new players will stay away. Well i think this issue of the lag probs will not help getting new players as well. even the regulars already go more to other servers. so find out whats the prob and fix it. This is already a prob for about a half year i think so. Meabe less but its for a long time now. and yes its something in the servers

Most of the unbans are cuz of The console. It bans people and they arent cheating. Then there is one or two ocasions that REAL admins ban and the dudes got unbanned. Besides that its the Console that bans wrongly. ^^

i dont get it why atomicus then needs to start a whole topic about this and doing some work to find new maps and your solution is to only put the old maps back ( witch you removed because of complaining back)

I really think it's some sort of bug in TF2. These hickups don't happen on Ferir (which handles a lot more gameservers & players) on CSS, GMod etc.

But then again, we regularly test new configurations to see if they solve the problems.

Oh..I get it...players -> popularity -> money...so you want money from players...but since you don't give a shit about the players...I don't see how your getting any money. Well let's see, you don't care if the players are "old" or "new" to the Mr. Green servers, and that's dumb because one of your goals would be keep old players on your servers and hoping that with time they will donate because they could see that this server has "friendly" admins and a "nice" community. Instead, your like begging the players to leave the Mr. Green servers. If that's your real goal, then your doing a great job at the moment. At least that's my point of view, and I don't think I`m wrong about it.

You think team stacking don't exist nowadays? I have only played a few times with fair teams.. Besides, what does this even got to do with crits? A game is supposed to be based on playing skills and not just luck, I mean this is not some kind of gambling game where you only win based on your luck.
