I was the one who killed you both. That wasn't end portal camping. I used Cruxis's end portal which I do often to get to the spawn point. You two happened to be there before I even teleported. But what you didn't know was that I was using a sharpness IV sword, no surprise that you died so fast. I'm not sure what you meant by loading the map, becuase you were attacking back and almost killed me.
If that is true and we were just bested I feel a lot better about the situation. Although I never even saw you and didn't believe that we were killed by a player until it was posted in chat. In the future I'll send my brother in first. I play on an 07 Mac mini from my couch. So it's not the fastest of computers.

The Nether and The End are both wild wests. Complaining about getting killed in there isn't going anywhere. Just keep an eye on the live map to check if there are people there before jumping into a portal. Or try getting some gear to begin with.

If that IS the case (I'm not saying it is, could be talking out his arse) it seems fair to add like 3 seconds of invulnerability upon entering/leaving the end? The same as log in protection worked, just people wouldnt be able to abuse it like that
Three seconds of invulnerability would work great. I'm not trying to complain. I would just love to see this server back to its former glory. It seems to me that issues like this could really force people to find another more accommodating server.

My brother and I. Went to the end portal last night. To collect pearls and level up. As soon as we went through the end portal we were both killed by one person cloaked and camping on the portal. In the time that it takes to load the new map. You can kill two people in full diamond armor. It's not very fun to be cheated out of a fair fight. Please add a safe zone to the end side portal

Good Choice of the winners. And thanks for the mention of spheres arena. My original design was to have an additional ring that would run horizontal around the structure. As well as spheres inside of this ring structure. It was just too big of a build to complete in the allotted time. I plan on copying the structure into my server and completing it I'll send you a picture when it's done.
PS I can't wait to play bomerman that looks awesome. Just wish I would've thought of it.

Because that's still an option.
Anyway, I've disabled the /drop <green coins> command since it was used to dupe Ender Pearls. Problem is I can't fix it as is, since Minecraft doesn't have a system in place to properly track ItemStacks.

Enderpearls are actually not that easy to get, unless your faction has the end + end grinder. There arent that many enderman around a map + they dont always drop an enderpearl.
since exp seems easier to get in 1.3 people get looting swords and can farm pearls quiet fast in the end. (If they have a portal)
also pearls can still be (easymode) duped(created) but I guess only admins & few people know how. (lets keep it that way)
I think more than just a few know about the unlimited supply of pearls. Every old abandoned base I have cleaned has had a chest full of pearls what does that say if that's what's been left behind

One thing we should try for a little bit is turning off certain features. One example is ender pearls. They are fun and all, but they have made the game worse. You used to be able to have an open base, but now, you have to be able to hide away from attackers by covering a roof. If anyone remembers what the server used to be like when people didn't hide away in their base, then you'd remember how everything changed when pearls were brought into the game. I think removing ender pearls would really get PVP a whole new level. I want to go back to the time where you would raid peoples bases with TNT and stuff. Not just go around teleporting and chopping heads off. Another thing I think should be turned off is enchanting. Back in the old days, PVP used to be about teamwork and strategy, and don't forget pure skill, but now, it's just how good your enchantments are. The same goes with potions. Removing these features would make people less afraid to fight. No one wants to loose their Highly enchanted sword, so people would rather hide, than fight.
I think that removing these features would make the server more fun, and enjoyable. Faction wars should be more about sieging and defending bases, and that is definitely not happening on the server.
I completely agree with this. The reason my faction went to Peacefull. Is the extreme amount of pearls available on the server. If you can't build an amazingly awesome and enormous base that protects you and your faction from PVP what's the point of playing. My faction does not plan on playing on the server when it is updated i unless the pearls are removed. Or at least the ability to have an unlimited supply of pearls.

When I was drawing up the plans I dident think that enderpearls would be so easy to make.
The bace was not supposed to be so easy to get in. So it's been very hard to complete.

Sorry we won't be able to have the treasure hunt. The account of our admen was hacked and the hackers stole all of our inventory from the base last night.

Sphere will be having a treasure hunt. Members of sphere will place a chest full of highly valuable items. We will then record the location and leave the area.
We will not hunt or kill anybody going to the chest. Each time we do this the chest will increase in value. If you're faction would like to donate to the items being given please contact us in game. If you have suggestions for items you would like also contact us in game.

You claim there's is no flaw in the software. But your unwilling to substantiate the claim. That's Paramount to admission of guilt.
Not only do I think you need to give captain a pardon. but also a letter of apology. It is a joke that you run a server with such a flaw

Yes i was helping in the expedition. we all had demon picks mine was efficiency 4. so i was digging 2 cuts. If i had known this is how your little software worked i would had switch the looting 3 pick caption was using. thanks for the heads up on the crap ass flaw in your software.

I love faction servers but I'm just extremely tired of not being able to build anything Interesting. The server is so geared towards attack. That the only defense is a square obsidian bace with water covering it then another layer of obsidian with lava covering it. As far as resources go. It would be a lot more challenging if not everyone had four stacks of diamonds.
