Netbook windows failling

Recommended Posts

So the windows on my netbook (xp) is failing. I get

Windows failed to start...
File: \Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc000000f
Info: An error occured while attempting to read the boot configuration.

Problem is it doesn't have a CD drive to repair it with, what do i do?

right, you need to have the xp file on the root directory of your HDD or USB. Go into your bios and change the boot startup to the USB/HDD device and then save changes and it should restart itself.

EDIT: What files are actually needed, i copied the entire XP disc to no avail

Hmm, sorry then man, google is probably more use than me, I'd still check that the one your using isn't formatted to FAT, needs to be NTCS or something, I forget the name.
