What is the login format?  And, what if you forgot your password?

If you mean ingame:

- create an account in the forums. Which you already did

- login ingame pressing F6 using your username and password.

If you have forgotten your password you can press the forgot password option in the forums. You'll get a mail in which you can recover your account

It used to be /login and then I think my username, then password.  If the password is the one for the forum, then I have that.

No, /login and /register are related to the admin accounts. 

For your greencoins/forums account you must use /gclogin username password 

Optionally you can use F6 menu to login using a UI
