What do YOU want?!

Hi everyone,

We're interested in creating new GMod servers, however.. we don't know what gamemodes to run. So what gamemodes do you like to play? And which ones do you think fit into our current community?

No DarkRP, and we're already working on our own roleplay-ish gamemode!

Something not Deathmatch based like IW and ZS

• Puzzle gamemode
• Tower defence like Die zahl said
• Deathrun (plz ?)
• Maybe a race gamemode (would suck with the vehicles in Gmod tho..)
• IF we do a DM gamemode, maybe one of those 2D platform like Crash Commandos on PS3
• Some gamemode where you build up a base to defend it agaisnt waves of enemies.

It's pretty cool, especially when the ship ain't a "CS:S ship". It's a fully functional destroyable pirate ship

We tried it for a short while. It's laggy and becomes repetitive.

Why not inventing a new gamemode instead of taking existing ones?

I'd say Onslaught, the one that Corby and Cowchucker tried to do last year, I think I saw one or two servers using that mode, not sure though.Have a look at it (I played Corb and Cow's version, it was funny, you have to build defenses with props and kills the monsters/combine coming).

NPCs are laggy in GMod. I rather not use them.

spacebuild sounds good to me. Just enable the advanced duplicator and wire, phx3 and it should be fun

Or a sass / population like server, where you Control little men and tell them to attack other people and get your alliences to defeat the other teams

( like black and white 2 or Dawn of war )

I had an idea some time ago with space ship racing (instead of car racing), with obstacles, and stuff like that...(on special maps, of course)

Theres a fun gamemode called something like "build a boat".

It sounds boring but its really fun as you get to blow eachother boats up after the build round.
