Custom KotH and Arena maps

There seems to be some demand for custom Arena / KotH maps, especially KotH which has only 4 maps in the cycle. So I'm thinking of adding 2 or 3 new maps per server. Any suggestions on what maps?

YES

As in, I'll cook something up.

Hard to find decent maps:

KOTH:

koth_moonshine: http://www.teamfortressmaps.com/details.php?file=62

koth_persia: http://www.teamfortressmaps.com/details.php?file=157

koth_winterridge (looks nice): http://www.teamfortressmaps.com/details.php?file=63

koth_loader: http://www.teamfortressmaps.com/details.php?file=64

koth_lighthouse_rc3: http://www.gamebanana.com/maps/81604

Arena: (hard to find good ones)

arena_draft: http://www.gamebanana.com/maps/145930

Haven't played any of them except for Lighthouse. Only based on the looks.

(Lighthouse was the map that brought the king in the hill)

I dont really think theres much need for anymore Arena maps, Arena has our biggest interest already, wouldnt want to put people off by adding in map downloads, KoTH on the other hand is in need of more maps, I'm pretty srue theres some good KoTH ports of already existing arena maps

winter ridge it out of the KotH cycle again because it has optimization issues.

Yeah, saw that quite clearly yesterday. Anyways, the cross-team chillouts in the hot tubes sure were a nice break from all the shooting and splattering :)

As for new maps: I haven't got a chance to play on it yet, but the new construction-themed arena "Hardhat" looks nice. Here's the overview: http://construction.tf2maps.net/

I think just adding new maps, trying them out and then deciding whether to keep them or not is a great idea. Sure, it may cause one or two sudden server-deaths, but in the end, having an asset of new nice maps is more than worth it.
