Cookie Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) Ok, this may sound a bit silly. I used to be good at solving these problems, but I just totally forgot how to do this shit. How do I get g to be where 1,45 is now? It's for my science exam .The answer is g= 9.76m/s² Edited May 25, 2011 by Cookie Quote
Ruff Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Alright:1. Square it2. Multiply with g and divide by 1.45^2Ta-da!You have g=9.75something Quote
MiF Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) Heyy... i regonize this formula. Something to do with pendulums right? Cant remember exact name atm, but we had it on our physic lesson while ago.Unrounded answer:9,7639843777721122126876296217562 Edited May 25, 2011 by MiF Quote
Cookie Posted May 25, 2011 Author Posted May 25, 2011 @ RuffThanks, I can solve anything now I didn't expect I could switch 1,45 with g because there was 2pi in the way. But it's legal to do so now I get it. @MiFIt's to calculate gravity. Quote
Pufulet Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Holy asshole that shit would never come near my school, and im top set science and maths Quote
Mr. Darkness Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 What form is that? I mean... what form are in you? (Also depending on how much forms you got there, like we have 11 forms, Im in 9th) Quote
Cookie Posted May 25, 2011 Author Posted May 25, 2011 Don't know what you mean, but we use meters, centimeters, kilometers, kilograms, km/hNo inches, miles, pounds, yards, mph or something. Quote
MiF Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) In physics there are global rules. Example strings are in meters (dunno about america), weights/masses in kg, and time in seconds.(These are normal forms, but you can change them to cm/g/hours etc.)What form is that? I mean... what form are in you? (Also depending on how much forms you got there, like we have 11 forms, Im in 9th)Uhm... If you mean what grade are we in school or something, i am on high school on first year (1 of 3) Edited May 25, 2011 by MiF Quote

CarPileUp Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 It doesn't look that hard.. But I'm too lazy to solve it lol. Quote
Chikennugget1 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Good thing I haven't done the science section to go to computing science's uni. Quote

Corby Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) Its a fairly simple problem to solve, wait until you have to do maths/computing/any science at an A2 level or uni degree standard. The difference is ridiculous. GCSE's are for pissing about and getting A's. Edited May 25, 2011 by Corby Quote
