Clavus
The Fatal1ty one is a public (and personal) favorite. Of course there are better ones according to the real audiophiles but those options are far more expensive. Quote Link to comment
Hebulba
I have had a few dedicated gaming headsets (price range 50-100e : steelseries h5, steelseries siberia and some creative headset) and those did decent job. But still the sound those produced is nothing compared to these Sennheiser HD518 headphones I have at the moment (+separate mic). I have also tried Saltys Trittons and i didn't like the sound those made while listening music. Edited December 24, 2011 by Hebulba Quote Link to comment
BouweV
Logitech G35(do this if you get that one tho)Or get one from the Fatal1ty series, they are on-ear tho iirc and I prefer over-ear headsets because they can be worn longer without getting painful ears. Quote Link to comment
CyriusG
Do yourself a favour and don't buy a "gaming headset" unless you want something with bad build and sound quality. It's always better to buy headphones + a seperate microphone because these products are aimed at sound and also often build quality. Unless you're really careful with the gaming headsets they will break while you might have a decent pair of headphones for years without it breaking and so you will both get superior sound quality you will also save money by not buying the cheap stuff. Since you haven't said a budget yet i can only recommend you brands. Sennheiser, AKG, Grado, Audio Technica are some of the major headphone brands which have great build and sound quality so you should look around for headphones from these brands and just buy the cheapest microphone you can find since it's only for games. I have an microphone from Zalman which costed me 6 euro which works just as great, if not better, than most other headsets.Edit: Forgot about Beyerdynamic. So add Beyerdynamic to your search list.Edit 2: Remembered another brand, Shure. Edited December 24, 2011 by CyriusG Quote Link to comment
Kefeus
Sennheiser is the way to go, if you have money to spare.Personally, I've been using SteelSeries Siberia v2 for 2 years now. You can get one for like 60-80€They're much better than that fatal1ty headset I had before. Quote Link to comment

To get the most out of them you should mod them. But i would recommend the PC360 over the PC350 because the 360 are based on a better pair of headphones (HD558 vs HD380 Pro) but they are open headphones so they bleed in and out quite a lot of noise but they also sound much larger than they actually are. Plus they are also much easier to drive. Edited December 24, 2011 by CyriusG Quote Link to comment

Dr.Minky
As long as you can speak through it and hear adequately does it fucking matter?I thought you loved dubstep! Try out someones descent headphones and listen to the same song compared to yours and you'll hear a very big difference, I'm also getting some new headphones, was going to get the HS800's but I think I'll try and find some better ones for more money.. It only costs me more on postage anyway to get cheaper ones. I hear the Speedlink Medusa NX 5.1 is a good headset (£45), it vibrates too which sounds odd but would actually be really immersive with fps games. Anyone else have it? Is it any good? Or any similar suggestions? (anything around say £40-£50, maybe more if its worth the extra money) Edited December 24, 2011 by Dr.Minky Quote Link to comment
