I keep posting random stuff in a status and on threads, so I may as well put things here instead! If its something I made in photoshop I might talk a bit about how I made it, just for anyone who's interested in photo editing. I'll also credit anything that isn't mine, even if its only partially. Actually backgrounds are not related to new zs. Plus I dont manage loading screen. Ok, won't post any more about the backgrounds then. Who is in charge of the loading screen then? I could talk to him and see if me and Emra can do some stuff for it

You mean like a faint outer-glow to make it stand out more? It is a bit dark.. Scoreboards meant to be the same graphic that Necro has on the menu screen in game but obviously I dont have the file, but I guess if he decides to put this in then he could send me it EDIT: Updated it now, this better? EDITEDIT: -derp i didnt activate the blood boarder red layer. EDITEDITEDIT: Actually.. I kinda prefer it like that, what do you think?

- Couldn't find a general thread for suggestions below, so use this for any other server suggestions too- 1: Have a pinned unban thread specifically for people who have been banned by the MC spam banner. The majority of unban requests tend to be from this, makes sense to have them in the same thread. 2: Have an update bar above/below the shoutbox, just one scrolling line or something, that can be updated whenever top crew see fit and just posts appropriate messages about events, server news, polls, warnings etc. Anything they think is current+should be read as soon as you come on

Given that I presume people don't want to waste time having to set up a different background for each map, how about this? Background could be changed to anything (Job for some of the gmod poser guys?), I thought this looked pretty cool though. -(deleted to make the thread smaller)- Or you could even have something like that as a standard background image, and then have a picture of the map for the more popular ones to save some effort and keep the amount of files down. Might try and do something for the end game screen as well tomorrow if I have the time

Oooo (Gets onto photoshop) EDIT: But you would only be able to show an arial view, not the corridors because you have multiple floors. Probably wouldnt work on ZS that well (unless you can suggest something)

Or just let Corby use his intuition and lock threads like this as soon as they pop up because nobody cares apart from the one person complaining

Nah, once its made all you'd have to do is paste in the background and tweak the levels a bit, would take me say an hour or two to do all of the maps (excluding getting screen shots) I like the rank lists. Maybe it would be good if it had something that showed most improved recent player or top newest players or something so its just not the veterans that pop up on the list, make new people feel more welcome or something like that

It was meant to be an a picture of the map that is loading, but I didn't want to load up garrys mod and take them myself (hence the random scores+names+tips etc) But ideally you'd have a different loading background for each map

You could give humans the ability to pull heavy objects (slowly) by holding E, good for shifting stuff to build cades that are in awkward corners Updated that picture a bit as I had some spare time. What do you think?

You could make spawners unbreakable, but that would obviously pass over to the standard spawners which I assume no one would be happy with (even though they're pretty useless). It would be easier if the gods just claimed blocks where there are spawners, and if theyre destroyed then plonk some more down, If there were a shop system I'd say it should be ONLY usable via green coins, gets more donations. I dont personally like the idea of a shop apart for building materials, and it would make duping harder to do because youd have to go and check against what people had bought, but if it brings in money then I guess so. /warp spawn would be very useful, specially for trading + raiding purposes. Infact, you could use the stargate plugin, and people could build nether portals in their bases that warp them to the spawn, but not the other way round (Just to make it that LITTLE bit cooler) Either way I think its a good idea. A long with having a very small spawn room that gives the basic rules, then people that get banned for combat logging that say they didn't know have no excuse and all that

I might attempt to do that but laying it out with dev textures. On those maps though wouldnt the zombies have to have a pernament speed boost though? As on the 'escape' maps on most games the zombies are faster than the humans, which is why they have to set up the traps and progress quickly and stuff? Might be an issue Heres a suggestion I just whipped up for the transition screen, something like this but with your menu design + font for the ranking box cause this font looks ugly as hell(This is a screenshot of a random map, don't know which one. Thats some old ZS logo tweaked a little bit)

If you did it so you can remove planks, but planks can only have a certain amount of nails put into them before breaking e.g. 5, then people could take down cades to let people through instead of trying to smash it like i often see them try and do, but it would make it less strong and cost them more nails + when stupid people nail things to useless places you could move it

Yep, I did that all the time when I want to tab between single player and multiplayer for testing things in creative mode
