I cant agree enough, Most people dont want the hassle of downloading maps, Theres another download one too which seems to do a pretty good job of clearing the place, If these two maps are removed it should help retain some players, If you're worried about reducing the amount of maps in the cycle you could always add plr_Pipeline back in. I never really understood why it was removed, It just seemed like 3 people said they didn't like it so it was taken out.

It's not exam season for everyone.

It just depends on dedication to get it fill up, I've spent up to an hour just completing rounds before someone joins but it works, like yesterday for example. Played a few rounds and Nphect came on we then managed to build it up to a full server, looked this morning and there were still 6 players which was quite a suprise.

The original tactic of get in the empty server and wait until someone else jonis seems to be the only working solution right now, managed to become full again yesterday and still had a strong playercount into the night. I don't see anyway that we can continue to keep popularity late at nights without Clavus resituating the sever to america so that they're more likely to join, All the bigger servers like UK:CS, saigns.de Etc. All suck up the big pool o fplayersUnless we were somehow able to actively promote our community somewhere I don't see this changing for a while, no matter how many different gamemodes we try and shove in.

People shouldnt really need an incentive to play, they should play because they want to. Yesterday the server was full, lost a few people on thundermountain, but after the map changed to cranetop it plummeted down to 4 players, It wasn't particularly late either, It was probably because people didnt want to download a map. Perhaps 24/7 instant Respawn 32 slot 2fort is a good shout, Hopefully once we get it filled once It should stay up for a good period of time. Or a second Arena server

I dont think this payload idea is working, Its been a week and only on a few instances has the server been full, especially the last 4 days It's been completely dead at what should be peak times. I think we should try a different approach because theres still something which is causing people not to join.

But what has changed since then and now? I'm much more of a mature person I've cooled down a lot in regards to getting easily angered and I'm confident that others would be able to agree with me on this. I have a pure love for the TF2 servers I'm really interested in the goings on and have been trying to put forward many players points of view who don't use the forums in the recent server Re-structure. I'm extremely dedicated and I've often shown this by trying to get the Payload servers kick started every day if they're empty or an a low player count, I think the admins currently do a good job and I can understand it is the exam season for many but it often seems like they're not around at some of the crucial times, I'd like to offer a helping to hand to them and relieve them by helping lessen they're workload. I'm really good at player interaction and I'm friendly with everyone in the server, no matter how rude they may be, This is a great quality and one that I personally feel is essential to be a good admin. There are times though when the serious side needs to kick in, If a player is wrong-doing I'll make sure they know that I'm aware of what they're doing and need to stop so that no further action is needed, Those who seek to cheat will receive the divine punishment and where possible Demo's of their unfavourable antics will be recorded. I'd like to say thanks for the consideration of this application and for those who have taken the time to read it and any of you guys who wish me luck, It's really appreciated. ~Balmung

I don't know whether this is the case, But if you're able to prove that you brought the blocks before the server crash (Which I think clavus can check) and that you actually lost them when the server screwed up you might have a chance to get them back, though Clavus decides this, just putting forward some helpful advice for you, I'd hate it if that happened to me. I don't think the problems really about the blocks themselves, but more abotu the fact he claims to have bought them with GC which he may have donated to get.

Hey Jeff, Good to see you posting on the forums now, Like you said there are times when the servers empty, It just needs a bit of input from a few dedicated players to get it started off, Yesterday was a good example, I invited several players on my friends list, it started with just the 3 of us and we managed to build it up to max players, the problem was once it was beddy-byes for the EU players, the server player-clount dwindled back down. If we could get a few more amerikan players then this probably wouldn't happen, however I dont see how we'd be able to get that to work.

No critvote, I'm still not for autoscramble either, map vote was already discussed?, custom arena maps: find me some good ones first, I couldn't. I'm a bit confused as to why you're No'ing Autoscramble still, I'm still yet to see a person in this topic (bar yourself) to say it's a good idea, It seems the general consensu on both the server and here is that an autoscramble needs to be introduced. With all due respect, for someone who wants to maintain player count you sure are making a poor judgment here.

Is the auto-scramble being considered too? Was in a sawmill match earlier, started off around 20/20, teams stacked and it dropped down to 8.

Another thing that I noticed a while back but has seemed to become ever more irritating is the votemap, as It's called from the main menu I'm not sure whether you're able to disable it, but if you can it would be extremely useful. The vote doesnt work as it should, For examle if a player Initiated a vote to change to well, the map would change to offblast, Thus several maps get missed out, people then call another vote as it didn't go to the one they want, and you end up playing offblast for another 20 minutes.
