  1. Agreed and agreed. An option to disable them would be lovely along with an option to reenable the game clock.

While the pop up messages are now less annoying, they are still annoying. If I want to know how much time is left in a map all i had to do was look at a small conveniently located already included in mta feature called a game clock. Whoever designed that game clock was a damn genius!

  2. is there any way to turn off MoshPit topics?

I don't need a pop up telling me what position im in, it tells me what position im in at the bottom left of my screen. one message got stuck so i had to ride around with a message telling me i was in second till i rebooted. it also tells me on my screen to the left when someone dies i dont need another message telling me "joe blow" just blew up i dont care if "joe blow" just blew up. Just because you can do somthing don't mean you should.

No shit mosh...someone did my mom and i was born. Bad idea

  3. Wrong wrong wrong and wrong. If you want to build a run of the mil it will only play mta computer, then you are correct. A quality psu is the key to any system build. And regarding the statement about a psu wasting power, you are wrong there as well. If you purchase a 500w psu, the 500w is at MAX load. That is the most it can output. It does not put out 500w constantly. You are correct, however, about the 12v rail(s). An 80+ certified psu is the way to go whether it be bronze, silver, or gold. And why buy a 500w psu now to power your current system demands when you can purchase a high quality 750 (or whatever wattage) that will power your computer today and your next build after that and the one after that.

    Never skimp on your psu.

My system just so you dont think i dont know what i am talking about.

    Intel Core i7 950 @ 4.3ghz

    EVGA x58 sli/crossfire mobo

    6gb g-skil pc1600 ram at 7-7-7-7-24 oced to 1800mhz

    Corsair H50 water cooler

    2 evga 460gtx 1gb ddr5 in sli

    3 WD 500mb 7200rpm 64mb cache in raid 0

    Kingwin Lazer 1000w psu

Lite on 24x blue ray burner

Do I need a 1000w psu for this system? no. I could get by with 800w. The system is designed to upgrade whenever I want to. So if I decide to put 2 580gtx in this thing i can. And there is no need to buy a new psu. Any smart system builder designs his/her build for upgradeability and expandability.

Unless of course you are a poor person and can only afford to build a system that will just get you buy. But skimping on your psu will only hurt you in the long run.

  4. FYI sweeet...the psu is the most important component in your computer. Overkill is never a bad thing when it comes to that. While a 750w psu will power your current system, it will limit you on how much you can upgrade if you so choose to. Your computer is just like a horny woman, bigger is better.

  5. The cause is nearly always the gta.set file. If you dont have one the game creates one and stores it here.

    C:\Users\KingRuff\Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files

It is used to store all of your config files.

    Glad you fixed it though!

  6. You guys fixed the "hop" when switching and that was great. Easy fix is to pole positions and sort dimensions by in race postion. If say 60 players are racing, top 30 in dimension 1 and lower 30 in dimension 2. And have you sorted out the ghostmode between dimension hops? That can really fuck you up.

  7. Why not set up a team of dedicated MTA players and give them all maps on a test server.

Let them test all maps and give them a like/dislike voting system too, if their majority dislikes a map it could be really shit and deleted?

Just throwing an idea in the discussion. :)

    ^^

agree entirely. Most of the maps with lots of dislikes really are unfun, but there are a few that are actually good maps and take skill to finish or run it well. Take Can You Finish for example...that map is a bitch, but very technical. First time i played it i was like fuck this map, but i like it now.

Take the maps with the worst ratings, someone put up a test server with those maps on it, let people test them and get everyones honest opinion. Categories could be, delete, fix it, or leave it the way it is. Its not that hard.

And yes this debate has come up over and over, so lets do something about it so there is no moar debate!

  8. How the f are we supposed to do that bin? Most hackers have retarded names....I suppose I will just have to take screenies and post them in here. Just get some moar darn admins and this won't be such a big issue. Sergio and face would do just fine, so would I for that matter.

That or just give me your login so I can ban them myself! :P

edit: and what happened to your anti-cheat script? did you turn it off since it banned hij@ck?

  9. Whatever i guess. Don't matter. I am here to have fun. I raced as mr.dogshit today and he raced as me. i set the 4th fastest time for him on a coaster map. I like to laugh and have fun as much as the rest of you. Please forgive all my ingame rage moments for alas....I am almost human.

  10. I agree with taint3d. I helped him test it and it is similar but not the same. With your reasoning bin then you should remove every circuit map with a tourismo because you already have 17 maps that are nearly identical on the server already.

  11. Yes he is banned again...but just for one day. Isn't amazing how people who have exhibited behaviour that got them banned in the first place gets back into the server and immediatly begins the same behaviour all over again. One day .:SDK:.? I have this feeling that one of you is going to be clicking the ban button again here very soon.

It really is too bad because he is a good driver when he actually attempts to play well with others. Its on him.

  12. The wattage for the 460 may be low, but the 950 at my clock spead is a beast. Overclock the i7 and it starts to get wattage hungry. Takes lots of juice. And I figured when I put this thing together I wanted upgradability and with that PSU I dont have to get a different one if I want beefier video cards someday.

I had a 750w in it and it didnt cut it so why not overkill? Moar fun that way!

  13. cpu: Intel Core i7 950 @ 4.35 ghz 1.3v vcore

  14. put them a packmap available with all the bigs maps , so they can download the maps before playing . so they will not have the frustration to be even at start when it's over

That has been suggested before I believe but has yet to happen.

  15. I understand how averages work. And no, the map rating system is not accurate. I played a map last night that has a rating of 2.76 and there is nothing the matter with the map. While I am the first one to say this is the worlds shittiest map, I still race most of them. Some do make me take a break cuz it is so god awful. Regarding a pro server pondfi1ller...there are a couple out there. SKC has a nice strictly track server and so does -]alw[-. But as some have mentioned, they do get old after a while and really disuade the noobs from playing on a server because they never finish/win those kind of races.

A simple solution to the problem is to not delete the maps, fix some of them maybe ffs, but set aside a time of the day like SKC does for the "most wanted". They take the top 20 maps rating wise and play them from the lowest rating to the highest. That way it excludes the maps with the worst ratings from that block of racing.

Then maybe on the other hand, set up another block with the WORST rated maps and play those. Then offer an honest opinion if it is truly a terrible map or not.
