7/10 - Very melodic and easy listening. Relaxing and calm. Good guitar work. Very repetetive though. This video is pretty much the only version I could find that had good audio without paying for it in the visual department. But you came for the song, not the scene. Wow, he's actually very good. I enjoyed watching that. It was short, sweet, to the point, upbeat, and pretty humorous.

I never called Minecraft an FPS. And I have a friend who's a very experienced coder. But right now he's working on remaking Tribes in Gmod. (So far it's amazingly fun).

And those sound tracks wouldnt fit with the game mode. Each round would last for quite a while, music wouldn't really be needed that much as its not fast paced or very actiony - You dont see music playing in games like CS:S or HL2 and stuff, its exactly the same thing. HL2 has shit tonnes of music in it, the thing is that it fits so well that you barely notice it. Almost every combat scene has music of some form. Even Ravenholm has an ambient track that runs almost all the time. What you could do is put in certain music for when someone both sees and heads towards someone. Then another track of music for combat. Then more for when the player gets hungry. And another for when he has low health. Games like this work with situational music that promote the mood. Hell, music to stress them out while low HP and being chased would be amazing.

"First time done in an FPS..." Depends on whether you consider Minecraft an FPS, really. As for hunger games in Gmod, I was talking to my friend a while back about just this. A few problems we identified was that it may just turn out to be a slightly more combat based Gmod Survival. But I believe with enough time to evolve the idea that it would move past that. I would suggest that we actually based the gamemode of Gmod Survival, but GS is coded so poorly that it would be beyond just "inefficient". It would be a down-right nuisance to code. Time consuming and frustrating. Another thing is coding this "director". Creating a half decent AI is extremely difficult, even for something as simple as picking out your needs and giving something corresponding to that need (unless you want to make it like "he's more hungry than anything else. Give him food". Then you have to take into account how long a hunger game will go on for. In minecraft, assuming no admin intervention, it can last up to an hour. I've been in one that lasted 3! Then there's the need to join the game before the match start, as it could be unfair if people join half-way through with full health and hunger. But I can see it happening.

One night each year The shutters snapped back and forth violently in the midnight wind. The chill moonlight keeping the dilapidated house just above darkness. The dead garden with blades of grass reaching out, grasping at the cracked concrete walkway that wound up to the patio. Aged and naked trees that sprawled into the air. The decaying, grey boards that made up the house creaking in the breeze. A small figure made its way up the path nervously, prodded on by others just outside the grounds. Slowly it made its way across the garden, a falsely eccentric cape flowing behind it. A small brown paper bag, filled halfway with small items indistinguishable in the darkness, was clung to closely. A groan filled air as the house was once more buffeted by wind, the dressed up figure finally at the door. Knock. Knock. Knock. Nervous taps against the door resounded through hollow hallways. The wind died. The groaning stopped. The rustling was cut off. The door slowly creaked open. With one last look back at the small group just outside the gates, a step forward was made. Then another. Shivering and frozen in fear, it stood just inside a room where not even light dared intrude. The cloak spun as the figure twisted, ready to dart out of the house. A dive was made for the exit, but that was all the outside world saw as the louse-ridden plank slammed shut. The lock clicking back into place.

I used to have a black pickelhaube and black surgical mask for the medic. I'd run around like a badass battlemedic, capping intel like a baws. Sadly I stopped playing TF2 soon after it went free. I was playing less and less already, but that was just the final nail in the coffin. Especially because I felt insulted by them when they gave us a cheaply made hat, thinking it would make up for it. Since then I have given away 90% of what my backpack was to random friends. Yes, that does mean you can take stuff from me if you really want it. Feel free to take a peak at my backpack. (But if you were really nice you'd gimme some GC compensation as well :3) More on topic, my dream load-out has always been that black pickelhaube/black surgical mask one. I do sort of miss it

When looking at the world from the sun it would spin left. This is because to us it rises in the east and sets in the west. As such you get both light and darker after we do. You are probably about 1, maybe 2 hours behind us.

Well the one I'll be streaming this weekend (as I may do it as a weekly/bi-weekly thing if you guys enjoy it) is the Half-Life mod "Afraid of Monsters". I am aware of their second mod "Cry of Fear" but I intend to play that with a few friends since it has quite a good Co-op, I hear. A few things you should know if you're going to watch the stream- There will more than likely be swearing. There WILL be screaming/yelling/crying to my mommy. I get scared extremely easily, so even a mod meant to be this cheesy will likely have me awake all night. I will be stopping at completely irregular intervals to regain what little of my sanity remains. If possible, say on this thread that you'll be willing to watch. The more people the better! Honestly, that looks rather boring to me. Minecraft battles always start out slow, waiting for the guy in front to make the first move. Then the battle starts. But it's the tension that builds up before one of you snaps and makes the rush which makes minecraft PvP servers so interesting.

Hey, what he did isn't as bad as what I've done. The following happened on the Grizzmo PvP server (no longer running). A friend and I once planted a metric ass-tonne of TNT (Took me ages to earn it all) under this rather lovely looking 500x300 castle/mansion/house of a guy we were "at war" with. I spent a good hour or so digging the floor out from under it. If I'm to be honest I felt a bit like solid snake. I then flooded it with TNT, about 200 blocks of the stuff. After I filled in the little entrance hole I went to the entrance and placed, on the inside, 2 wooden pressure plates on the cobblestone floor. I then ran into the mountains to hide, while still having a good vantage point. After he came back from his mine, about half an hour later, he opened the door and walked in. He was completely oblivious to the pressure plates. What happened next can only be described as beautiful as the entire thing was torn to pieces in gorgeous fireworks display. My friend and i where then permanently banned for griefing. The funny part was that on the server doing things like this was entirely legal. Full castles got demolished all the time. It was part of the dynamic server, and how nations were built and grew powerful. Unfortunately, as it turns out, the person I was battling was an admin. Also funnily enough, he had completely levelled the town my friend and I had made not 2 days earlier >.>
