Clavus Posted March 31, 2012 Share Posted March 31, 2012 The Grand Mr. Green Minecraft Factions SPLEEF TOURNAMENTFriday the 6th of April our Minecraft server will host a Spleef tournament (wtf is Spleefing?) in which a groups of players are pitted against each other in this popular Minecraft sport!The tournament starts on the 6th of April at 20:00 GMT on our Minecraft Faction Wars server (play.minecraft.nl). Use the gateway at coordinates (230, -55) (on our live map) to reach the arena location. The participating groups will be split in tournament brackets.There will be plenty of spots for spectators! Do join this event even if you're not participating.Where do I sign upIf you want to participate, you 3 member from the same faction (including yourself). Think of a name for your group and post the following info in this topic:Your group nameThe Minecraft names of all 3 group membersSignups are now closed!The group rules are as follows:No more or less than 3 members from the same factionMultiple groups can be signed up from a single faction (so if your faction has 15 members you can have 5 groups)A player can only be signed up in one groupSignups close on Thursday the 5th of April after 23:59.Game rulesThe winner is the group that is left standing (all opponents drowned in lava).If the blocks are broken in such a way that two groups can no longer reach each other (islands) then the group with the largest island wins. If the islands are about the same size the field will be reset.You are not allowed to hurt other players directly, you're only allowed to use the supplied tools, you're not allowed to place blocks.During the tournament, if your group is not complete at the start of the match you are automatically disqualified.Prizes1st prize: Reserved slot item that will never expire and 5000 Green-Coins for every group member.2nd prize: 5000 Green-Coins for every group member.3rd prize: 2500 Green-Coins for every group member.(2nd and 3rd prizes will be only handed out if we have 8 or more groups participating in the tournament)(Note that for every one of these prizes you need to have your Minecraft ID connected to your forum ID, read here how to do this. Require participants to /kill them selves to gain entry to ensure no one has fire protection potions or enchanted tools in their inventory. If one guy swallows a fire protection potion he can sit in the lava knocking out blocks below. And I have a pretty damn decent spade that cuts through dirt and snow faster than creative mode. You're not allowed ot bring your own tools or potions. Bringing your own stuff is even discouraged since you'll lose all your shit if you fall in the lava. Quote Link to comment
