Hawken

I got invited for the Hawken closed-alpha test, so I've been playing this game for a few days now.

What is Hawken? It's probably amongst the best looking indie games ever, and it's also the most fun mech warfare game I've played yet. It'll be free to play and apparently launch on the 12th of December. The stuff you can buy using microtransactions are mostly cosmetics. Everything else (weapons, weapon upgrades, mech upgrades) can all be gained through playing the game.

Somehow it captures both the feeling of playing in a hulking war machine, as well as having that freedom of movement you need to avoid attacks.
