Isn't Dota 2 a MOBA where as Warcraft(World of) is an MMORPG  and Warcraft(I II and III) are Strategy. If anything Dota is most like LoL or Demigod, not sure which of those 3 MOBAs came out first though, Regardless with that logic you could just say all FPS' are rip-offs of eachother.

While the genre of games may be the same, the content avaliable in the game is what differentiates it from its competitors.

Also DotA came before LoL and other shit like that. It's a custom map for Warcraft III and Frozen throne any way. Don't see how it's a ripoff of Warcraft.

Dota2 and league of legends were orignally  from the same production team for a project then they split and both made there own rts's thats why there are loads of similarities
