Any way to turn off ''windows back to basic mode''?

When I start GTA SA my windows 7 returns to basic mode, which is the most ugly shizzle I've ever seen. Is there a way to turn it off? I play windowed, so I see it all the time.

I once did it. Don't know how.. Maybe it was some updates I installed, maybe some patches.. all I know is it didn't last long.. and it was reverted back to the old "windows scheme"

I've searched the entire google there are a few topics in the gtaforums but none of the suggestions worked again

If anyone found something useful please let us know

Oh, and.. MTA 1.1 fixes some directX bugs.. maybe this is going to be one of them (i hope)
