mr.dogshit
Is there any way to turn it off?At the start of almost every race (especially ones where everyone spawns in the same place) my fps drops immediately to approx. 7-9fps. Quote Link to comment
Ywa
That hasn't to do with the transparency though. It's just too many vehiclles & actors (player) to render for your PC. It can't handle it properly. In short: Get a better PC or lower graphics settings Quote Link to comment
BinSlayer
if we disable transparency, it'll be hard to notice which players are still in ghostmode and which aren't Quote Link to comment
FOTL.Emanuel
Yup, true that Quote Link to comment

BinSlayer
He didn't tell you to upgrade your PC :/He explained the 2 options you got .. upgrading or lowering GFX graphicsI'd personally lower the gfx graphics ( this includes resolution ) - you will get a significant boost in FPS amount Quote Link to comment
Cookie
Change resolution so that the last number equals 16 instead of 32. This gives the most performance boost.Like 800x600x16. NOT 800x600x32. Quote Link to comment
Ywa
Well, we could make an option to toggle it clientside. Might be worth checking out. Quote Link to comment
BinSlayer
Well, we should get more feedback from the players before we start implementing features Quote Link to comment
mr.dogshit
Sorry, just realised the tone of my reply wasn't exactly polite. lolWhat I meant to say was: yes, my PC is crap but just wondered if there was a command to switch off this effect... but unfortunately not it seems and yeah, I already run it on 800x600x16 (tried it on 640x480 but it was like watching lego lol), PLUS the San Andreas Performance tool (switches off dynamic shadows, etc). :/ Quote Link to comment
FOTL.Emanuel
if it doesnt require much work on it i think we should implement that option...maybe with an adjustable bar, where you could adjust your gm values (the changes would only affect YOU, the one changing them). Quote Link to comment

I'm using a Radeon HD5770 and my frames also drop when there are many players on screen at the same time. I think it's a CPU issue, I'm using an old Athlon 4400 x2 in my system and it seems that the bottleneck lies there. Quote Link to comment
FOTL.Emanuel
Yes Accident the starts have a lot more to do with CPU power, I have excellent ones with my Core 2 duo 3.06.With my old pentium 4 it was awfull... Quote Link to comment

And a 4400 X2 is kinda old yes and relatively slow. Quote Link to comment
