In seach of a social network script (PHP)

Hi,

For school i want to get a head start with PHP (we only lean it after 2 years) because i really want to create a good PHP site. However i did read some tuts but all are very basic and not rly what i want. So i thought why dont i use some existing PHP scripts and learn from that (i did it with HTML also). In the end i want to create my very own social network site. So(....) i am in search of a Basic(!) simple social network script. All i can find is scripts what have tons and tons of shitload i dont want (something like you cant see the forest trough the trees). An i tough maybe some 1 of you guys can help me with my search.
