zs_gutter release

A map that I was working on yesterday and this morning! And its not laggy! I cant believe it :o

''Gutter

An enclosed map with lots of space for combat. The map is based inside a building that seems to be some form of sewege containment. It is a stormy night and it is raining inside the building, you can hear in the distance battle going on, clouded by the thunder.

This map is not laggy, and I promise that, as most of my maps are. This map took me under 4 hours to make, which I'm very proud of and I hope other people will enjoy it. ''

Well, it is your honest opinion, and I wasnt surprised from that respone :V

I mean I did only work on it for less than 4 hours, so lots of stuff could of been made better definitly, but I wanted to see how quickly I could make a map classed for zs that looks decent.

You shouldn't release a map when you know it's not really that great. It'll only damage your "reputation".

Since I joined zs yesterday, I left a bad opinion about its maps: some of them are really much alike to gm_flatgrass

Srsly, thats not a zs map, where you run in a veeeery large space and shoot zombies from every corner.

Pufu, I was joking about zs_construct that day... But sereously, some "new" maps suck balls. They are unbalanced and not fun (for me).

Also, personal note to Pufulet: If you release maps such as theese, you will do worser maps further.

ZS maps don't have to be detailed. It's hard to notice when you're running away from zombies etc. It's like saying male pornstars have to be pretty-boys.

what about zs_nowhere that im working on? That should be one of my finest maps hopefully.

You started it before than you did that 4 hour map. Also its almost completed.

Just dont do maps with a huge space if they are for zombie survival.

I think you missed my point.

We need less of these ugly Dull maps, They Should Be Detailed, It seems that Stelk is the only good Map Maker For ZS.

Making maps for zs is actually quite hard. All the old maps like zs_jail / zs_uglyfort and so on are never gonna be made again. Nowadays people will make maps that seem more detailed but will probably fail. The main atmosphere in zs should be night, and a good feel of zombie apocalypse. But people seem to think that because a map is all dark its dull. If you have a full on lit map thats all lovely and bright, is that still zs? Its a zombie apocalypse, who is running all the power and that? Hardly anyone maps for zs now, and I havent seen stelk make a map in ages.

Stelk isnt the only good mapper for zs, there are others like alexg and modestyiswimpy, but Im not totally sure about him. And what about me? Im trying hard to get the server some fresh new maps, and trying to make them better and better for each map I make, except this one because It was just a form of test. I would honestly like to see you guys try to make some zs maps, like at that contest where 95% of the people gave up for good reasons I guess, and some of those unfinished maps did look quite good.

All im saying is that making a good zs map takes lots of time and thinking to how it will all go, and atmosphere is a big part of zs.
