Thanks to everyone so far who's expressed an interest.

Let's get as many people as we can involved, so if you know anyone who's getting the game, get them involved!

We should start some form of Officer voting/applying soon.

Exactly. I fondly remember my adventures as Youri Earthstorm in the first GW. Meteor shower galore. Took too bitching long to cast though.

I tend to go for a Warrior/monk to be honest... Tank healer as we know it

Taking damage with a lot of buffs on, whilst also healing my team when needed ( Most of the time ) You will get that if you have played the first one Ferrying New members to hard places to reach and also helping them level up.

Well then see you all in the Guild when it has started up.

I'll probably be an engineer, I quite like the look of his various tricks he can hold up his sleeve. Lay glue down, enemy walks around glue, enemy blows up on hidden mine . Yeah he sounds like fun.

I hope they add Mesmer to the game because that is my favorite profession in GW1 , but I think he is the profession that is still unannounced.

One SURE thing is that I'll prepreprepreorder GW 2 in its collector/ultimate/heroic/god edition because I really enjoyed the 3 first games and I'm sometimes still playing the game (during events mostly).

Just to compare, how long have you been playing it ? Me, 6 years (my 1st character has celebrated his 6th birday, I've yet to open my present).

And for your guild, I'd be interested, but...I'm already taken, I have some old friends that were in the same guild with me but then it died, but we said eachother we'll join again in GW2 (and I'm in another guild since 2007, and they'll probably say something like that too).

If each character can be in a separated guild I'll make a greenie though

EDIT : I'm a Ranger, and I'll be a human Ranger in GW2.

GW2 sounds epic after I heard about it and I might even buy the game, so open up a spot for me. Clavus his character as what was it, elementalist/monk sounds like something for me =p

I've played the original Guild Wars for five years, and plan to get Guild Wars II. Although I have my own guild to look after, I think I'll end up abandoning it in the end, since its currently inactive. As of now, you can count me in.

Guild Wars was a great game btw, if you haven't played it yet, you should try it.

This is great! I think we have about 15 members so far already,

I will make a more official thread about joining the guild in the not-so-distant future, so then people will be better updated if they ACTUALLY want to be in the guild and can join it officially..

We will be recruiting officers too, we will be voting for officers ourselves - and we will not just give people officer status because we simply ‘know them’ or ‘like them’. Seeing as the Guild is already founded upon this, it wouldn’t work as completely new people would see no hope in advancement.

There needs to be a separate topic for officer applications so instead of saying "make me an officer " , people who want to be an officer can then post an application saying 'Why do they want to be an officer?' and 'Do they have any past experience organizing events?' (as there will most likely be guild events in gw2). The forums could then vote who they want to be the other officers.
