    Maps should only be deleted if there are bugs that prevent it from being completed.

    You're saying that ANYONE who buys 2 maps in the same day is doing it ONLY to troll? That's stupid... I can totally see myself buying 10 Lap Hotring more than twice a day, because I really like it.

    I've seen him do this a few times. I think he goes away for a while but forgets to come back when his map is on. Maybe on purpose, maybe by accident.

    My concern for this is that, while very unlikely, if someone hates a map enough, they might make a bunch of extra accounts or something just to dislike the map more. You never know, lol.

    But maybe this is the best route just to keep people happier. If a map does get deleted, do people really lose something in their life if a map in a video game server is deleted? Probably not (unless it's considered a classic map, I guess), so perhaps deleting them based on a ratio like you mentioned would work for now. (I think people will still bitch anyway...)

    You're right, but we have to determine the reasoning for them wanting to remove the map to make sure it's practical enough to warrant deleting said map.

    I think if you look at the average amount of players per hour throughout the past 7 years, it's not on the decline, but it's probably the same. Why do most people in the server actually play a map instead of rage-AFK or quitting?

    We don't know that. As mentioned on the other thread, maybe they might not like a map, but don't think it's worth coming to a forum to complain. So, maybe they just deal with it.

    We all know what the "problem" is, but it's not much of a problem. Really, the problem lies with the players who are incapable of playing some maps because they simply don't like or and / or think they are trash.

    I've been here for almost 7 years and spent the majority of the time on race. Plus, I've been playing race 90% of the time recently. I have come across maps that I don't like at all but I play through them anyway to see how I can do.

    I only like a few RTF maps. The rest are too long, and I don't care for long maps in general.

    How aren't they race maps? You can have multiple people racing for the finish...

    Then... Maybe it's best to find a server that has only the maps that you like? It's like using a cell phone provider that provides you with no service everywhere you go... Go find someone that better suits your needs.

    Not only that they don't like the author, but people might immediately dislike a map that they die once at (among other examples).

    You're missing what people said earlier about there sometimes being dislikes made purely because they don't like the author, or the player just sucks at the game, or some other reason that doesn't mean the map should get deleted. The likes / dislikes mean very little so I do think that it should get deleted.

    I like this idea much more. But then we might have the same problem with likes / dislikes where people might just vote a map as 1.0 if they really hate it enough.

    There's a place for maps like IWFMD 1 & 2, A Great Adventure, Benox maps and such of the kind. And it's NOT on a race server. That said it's not on Mix either, they belong to a seperate DeathMatch server because they don't fit neither of the two Mr.Green servers available at the moment (otherwise why do other servers have a special room dedicated to such maps?).

    But that's the thing. The author isn't there to always play it. This is why maps have a lot of time for people to learn the map and complete it. Then when it's played again later, more people will know how to play through it. Sounds like life in general...

    Why don't those maps belong on the race server? It's nice to have variety, no? Instead of the server being filled with based CP-to-CP maps around San Andreas, some of these very creative and technical maps can occasionally be played. It's not like you're playing them all the time... Either take a break, or actually learn how to play the map properly like many others. The maps you listed are race maps.
