  1. In Arena you often play a lot more efficient if you're a skilled player. Can't do much about that. Lot of hassle to make the points differ per server, and the balance would probably still be off.

And we're not taking out crits. There are enough no-crit / oh-so-perfectly-balanced game servers out there (that no-one cares about). Yes crits kan make you rage at times, but they save your ass just as often.

  2. I recommend you get yourself a singer, because to be honest, you just don't have a singing voice. Piano's a bit off at times, it doesn't have a clear rhythm. Keep practising. :P

Shush, Don't be so harsh on the kid, You did well! :P

If you don't get criticism you don't know what people like.

  3. I don't see what's wrong with the heartbeat sensor.

Just wait when the campers get it, along with the trip mines. Then the fun begins.

The sensor works with a delay, so you can't track someone's movement real-time, and therefore it's not really usefull for campers.

Even better: the heartbeat sensor makes it easier to track campers since they ain't moving.

Also: punkbuster is a very crappy anti-cheat solution. It's infamous for having a lot of false positives. If you never had trouble with it doesn't mean it worked fine for everyone else.

  4. Ehm, I guess you're talking about the pirated version now? That's the whole idea, if you don't want cheaters, then buy the game. Every legal server has VAC. You can also play CS on a cracked server, which has no VAC, and thus flooded with cheaters.

No, I didnt mean pirated version. Its proven that you can get around VAC, and you cant kick anyone. Why did you think I was talking about pirated version?

What do you mean "got around VAC". VAC doesn't take immediate action. It works with a delayed ban system. Cheat today and you'll be banned in a few weeks. This way the cheaters don't know for sure what triggered the ban.

Everyone today that says "look VAC ain't doing anything" will probably get their asses handed to em in a few weeks.

  5. All points were discussed before:

We can't completely control how HLstatsX works. Those few points gained from humiliation round kills are not worth the trouble.

Fake players plugin is despised by players, but a godsend for server owners. It does pull in new players and fills up the server faster. If you want to see the actual amount of players ingame, just use "View game info" by right clicking on the server and counting the amount of players listed.

Votescramble was determined not to be a good solution, and only spoils the fun of having a good team. If players want to play with others, let them. In the end, the balance is purely determined by the team's skill and teamwork.

  6. Dino D-Day is an exciting new First Person Shooter from Digital Ranch Interactive. You’ll play as Sgt. Jack Hardgrave, a renowned paleontologist who thought he put his career on hold to go to war…then Hitler resurrected dinosaurs and unleashed them on the Allies in 1942. When the Fuhrer’s monster army saw battle for the first time in North Africa Hardgrave was on the front lines – nearly getting eaten alive by beasts he spent his life studying. This is an HL2:OB mod that has served as a prototype for a commercial release of Dino D-Day slated for 2010. We look forward to community input on this early version of Dino D-Day as we continue crafting the game over the next several months.

    Fucking awesome :V

I've been playing it. Mapping is not that great, but the working T-Rex NPC made up for everything.

  7. The most depressing thing is the bullshit what they try to feed for PC players. IW liturgy says that matchmaking connects equal players easily and with no problem. Matchmaking is fucked-up system what you can take seriously, only if you dont know of better. In Left 4 Dead, PC players "whined" so long that they added normal servers. Now everyones happy, and for a reason. Exept that from L4D2 demo, it was missing, again.

There was always the ability to put up dedi servers for L4D. It's just the method of finding them which they tweaked and improved. Matchmaking is not a bad system for L4D, since you want to be able to gather a party before starting the game.

Also, in MW2 your ping is a lie: http://csnation.totalgamingnetwork.com/forums/showthread.php?t=180556
