  2. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  3. Despite the routine of work, sleep and repeat many of us go through, I'm sure we all have a hobby or two that we enjoy putting time into. I have two hobbies that take up most of my time outside of work and college: 1. Filmmaking 2. Astronomy I've been making comedy sketches with friends and family since childhood and still do today, it's actually what I'm attending college for. I also love astronomy and learning about the environment outside of our immediate planetary systems and the endless possibilities/secrets they hold. What are your favorite hobbies?
  4. Well my avatar at the time of writing this is Double D from Ed, Edd 'n Eddy. I chose Double D because I let my hair grow during covid and wear a beanie to control the growing mass lol. Looking at it's size, it's probably gained sentience by now.
  5. First game I ever played was Doom 3 on my Xbox back in 3rd grade. My brother was visiting from college and decided to have my try it out. I've been gaming ever since.

  7. Don't tell me that I was so hyped for Dead Matter, but was waiting until I got a better pc. Now I have to look up what happened and be sad about it lmao.
  8. Not a lot of wave/timer based Z survival games out there, these are the best I can think of: Killing Floor series is pretty satisfying. It has waves of mutated monsters and a boss at the end. It also has slow motion kill effects, it's pretty cool. Can be played single-player or multi-player. Probably the closest to gmod zs there is. No More Room in Hell is a source mod survival game where you're thrown into a Z infested city and have to weave through streets, alleys and buildings to find a way out. Single-player or multi-player World War Z is a game based in the universe of the world war z movie. It has a storyline with super hordes of undead. It also has a multiplayer matchmaking system with various game modes, one of them being Horde mode, endless waves of undead. (currently on sale 80% off) State of Decay is more survival rpg. You can find and recruit other survivors and use empty houses as bases. You have to scavenge for resources and keep your survivors happy as well, but the leveling and crafting system is quite satisfying.
  9. As it vanishes with a distant echo I am hit with instant depression

  10. The canal gets unblocked and now everything works.
  11. As far as other games to potentially branch into, maybe some of the newer popular ones that offer server hosting? Valheim is wildly popular and its playerbase is still skyrocketing. Minecraft seems to be gaining popularity again as well, mainly the super modded worlds, but it might be a viable candidate for new Green content. Then there's Team Fortress 2, many years old but still averaging 112k concurrent players.
  12. Manic and bored so I made a simple icon for ZS, because why not?

  13. Just turn GreenCoins into a crypto currency and watch people throw money into it hoping to sell the spike for wealth.
  14. Hope you're doing alright my man!

Be me back in junior high, waking up at like 10am on a snowy day and remembering it's a weekend. I'm caught up on homework and no chores need to be done yet. Time to open Gmod and pour hours into a nice.... variety of game modes.

  16. Man I remember being obsessed with this track ever since I played L4G way back in the day. I've had this on my iPod for so long now and everytime I hear it I think back to my ZS beginnings. Good times, good times.
  17. Always better to release a finished project than a rushed one. Still majorly hyped!
  18. One day I'll be at the top of the ZS Leaderboard. In the meantime, I'll enjoy being the bait.

  19. We all started somewhere. I have seen many players come and go in this game mode, with some just dropping in to those regularly seen playing. From new kleiners to veteran survivors, the game is so damn fun to play and offers a warming sense of community and teamwork. For me, I discovered ZS back in 2006 when I was in junior high. I had known of Garry's Mod from seeing those ragdoll animated videos flooding YouTube. I was never into the sandbox aspect of the game but what did catch my attention were two videos with Zombie Survival in their titles. I love survival games, more so when it's against the undead. I clicked and was introduced to perhaps the most unique and fun game mode I had personally ever seen. Just these two videos were all it took to get me hooked. I loved the concept, soundtracks and gameplay. It looked like an arcade-style survival mini game and I loved it. Unfortunately, my pc at the time didn't love it. It would hardly run over 15-20fps and would stutter like crazy. So I sat back and watched content from multiple communities to get my fill. It wasn't until years later in 2012 that I could actually play the game. It had changed substantially, but I didn't mind and just had fun. The most fun I've had in a game. Also because of things like this: When I eventually moved for college, I had lost my steam log in details and watched the years pass as I focused on my education. However, in 2019 I finally got to updating my steam info and excitedly downloaded GMod. I was met with a low pop ZS server list. The communities I was part of back then had either moved on or collapsed. ZS as it exists currently is a vastly different beast, but still incredibly fun to play. With Mr. Green Gaming announcing a revival of ZS Classic, I have even more to look forward to. It was a bittersweet reunion, but I am here to play until the end baby. With that being said, whether you're new or a veteran, how did you first discover ZS? and what were your first impressions of it?
  20. Fashionably late to the party. Yo! My name is River I am currently 24 years old and attend college for film production. I live in California in the U.S. but plan to eventually move somewhere more tranquil. I have known about Mr. Green Gaming for quite a while, over a decade now, but have only joined the community this week. I was a ZS kid way back in the day when my pc couldn't run anything, so I just lurked and watched community created content. Nonetheless, I am happy to be here and will do my part to keep the hype this community had started all those years ago.
  21. Looks amazing! I commend your efforts to revive ZS Classic and look forward to spending a hell of a lot of time playing it and reminiscing. I'll be sure to drop in during the next public demo if there is one.
