I have both. Gears WAS a good game, but the story line sucked. Gameplay -> Story I couldn't care less about the story. Stories suck lately, but I still love a game that focuses it's core gameplay around a story. And a good story is never a bad thing.

I agree with this. Not only the scoreboard, but the whole menu. It's grey and dull, and it's completely different from everything else.

They've already added custom maps to the cycle. I think your chances would be a lot bigger if YOU did some research in what maps are decent and balanced enough for the payload cycle. They don't even want to add the maps, and you are "commanding" them to look for good maps too? That's overload.
