  1. You should get a brand power supply (Enermax, Seasonic, BeQuiet, Antec, Coolermaster, Tagan...) because they have security mechanisms like short-circuit protection, overvolting protection etc and they are also much more efficient compared to cheap noname PSUs.

Seems like I don't wan't to save on the powersupply, do they all have the same sizes etc. ?

Cause I don't know much bout powersupplies :S nether do I know what one should be the best for my pc.

    Ty math

A ~500 Watt brand PSU is more than enough.

    e.g.

    BeQuiet L8 530 Watt.

Also: You should really listen to bastinator. Because if you really going to spend 1000€ for your new PC, you should get MUCH better parts.

  3. Overclocking isn't actually a big problem. Although it does give the CPU a shorter lifetime, you probably won't use the CPU for it's entire lifetime anyway and chuck it out after ~5 years. And thus you won't notice.

Can you also explain how to overclock ? and how much you should overclock it max ?

    ty

I only know how to overclock on a Socket 775 Intel system. Sandy Bridge systems are completely different because they have no traditional FSB (correct me if I'm wrong).

It's called BCLK. But it's the same :V

  4. Benchmark / fps-figures for those of you who are worried if you'll be able to play it with considerable graphics. Graphics driver are Catalyst 11.10 Preview V3 and Geforce 285.38./62. Dx 11 & max. details

Looks fine. Just need to OC my GPU a bit higher and wait for my new i7-2600K :V

  5. How do you guys like that SSD? It seems fairly cheap for a 128 GB one. Last time I checked not every SSD performed that well, plus not all of them were stable (I think OCZ SSD's had some problems, for example).

So far it's performing well, but I don't have any prior experience to compare it to.

Agreed. PC boot is done in ~28 seconds, software starts superfast etc. etc. Like a SSD! :V

But it's recommend to update the firmware to 0009 (incase you have the old 0002 like me), because it improves the SSD a bit more and boot times are lower.
