    How many of you will be joining us in the early start? :)

    I'll be waiting in the planes of Ascalon in the Charr area for about an hour or so when the game is released, so any other Charrs that are joining can meet up with me, Peon, Chem and whoever else there.

    I'll probably join up with you guys.

    I'm just gonna throw it out there - I've geniuley not seen one instance of a peaceful faction abusing their status. Occasionally there have been revenge kills when peaceful factions and normal factions have a little hate war going on and keep lavaing each other, but apart from that its been fine,

    If anything, the main thing Ive seen peaceful being used for are factions who want to set up a base without being hassled by people, then they disband and claim over the base they built while in peaceful, which is a fair way to use it I guess

    It would be best to restart the game when it comes out so everyone is on the same level, yes I will be discarding my +20 account for obvious reasons.

    I would like to lead the Rangers Squad if that's okay with the guild master?

    Also to those that need help with anything in game add me and I will aid you with quests and weapon drops if needed.

    Uhh, all beta characters are deleted before launch anyway.

    This means I am poor once again... :/

    Hence why I was telling you to stop overplaying the beta lol

    Oh erm how about advertise the server more or make it more friendly to new users or some shit cause it used to be 100/100 every day of the week and now youre lucky if itll peak at like 50 or 60 players occasionally

    HELLO EVERYONE!

    As I mentioned before, after playing in the guild wars 2 beta events, we know that we can't use a PROPER guild structure in this game unless everyone was super committed to the guild - But we know on this forum people will likely want to be more casual.

    So here's the new system we've came up with which should work really well.

    Firstly, and most importantly, we are going to operate WvWvW focused tournaments every other month. Reason for this is, if we tried to co-ordinate doing random stuff all the time then people would get bored of it, since gw2 is such an open and 'relaxed' game, so what we will do is have a month where we casually play together in PvE and PvP, then the next month we will go super srs and pro on WvW trying to work as a team like a proper guild (since it works in monthly cycles)

    Second of all, to help this monthly WvW thing run properly, we are going to adopt a squad system. This is where youll find youself a squad to go in (you have a max group of 4 in gw2 unless they change that) and you always stick with your group. Your squad would have a squad leader who co-ordinates your group, and then all of the squads work together on team speak - which should lead to some reaaaal nice team based and strategic game play, and let us all mix around and get to know each other more. PARTICULARLY if you chose to be in a permanent squad and get to know the guys you're playing with for when you're in battle.

    Here's a scenario for you - Squad 1 has guardians and mesmers in, and squad 2 has more agro classes like ranger and necro. After talking on team speak, squad 1 will split off to breach into the walls of the castle, and inside that squad they will work together to protect the mesmer as he sets up the portals. While doing this they can be asking for squad 2 to give them more support in certain areas or to ask for a distraction in certain places.

    May sound a bit confusing, but if you think about it, it would work very well since in this game, its almost ENTIRELY about tactics and skill, and not just what item you have.

    Last of all, we're probably going to ditch the whole title system - there will obviously be more authoritive players, i.e. squad leaders and guild leaders, who will just be the people who play the most and are best at the game, but we dont really need too much of a hierarchic with a community of our size. We want to be close, efficient, and effective. And that is what we shall be fellas!

    If you have any qualms or suggestions, post em now before the game is released. For those of you who pre-ordered, see you on the 25th!

    Also, I want to set up a squad of purely necromancers. We will be the uber death squad of 1337ness called the Necbro squad or something. :V

    Which servers we chose don't really matter that much though, you can 'visit' other servers for free. The only think your home world affects is WvWvW.

    But WvWvW is the main thing we'll all be doing as a group?

    I was wondering if anybody here goes to the university of Art and Media Technology of the School of Arts, Utrecht (in Hilversum), its a big place I was looking into potentially studying (if I went to the netherlands)

    Hey just asking if i join the Janitors what will be my main role in the faction, i mean does the faction stuff like PvP? Or is it peaceful.

    If there is some kind of PvP can i play an role in that? If not i am OK with digging and farming too.

    We're peaceful, no pvp :)

    Nah no ones going to be just digging, everyone will have at least SOMETHING to lead themselves, if not share leadership of (e.g. xp farms, the wheat farm, mob grinders, villagers, trading outpost, whatever) but youll also be building your main building too

    Should peacefull factions use tnt?

    It works fine as it is now - If some peaceful factions being stupid, go put lava on them.

    At the same time you have to look at the other side of this too, numerous members of 'TheMonkeys' faction have been going around and specifically killing peaceful faction members with lava and fire because they cant fight back, us included (we'll likely ban these guys from the server events), but I still wouldnt suggest that you make it so normal factions cant use lava and flint just so they cant attack

    So what I'm saying is, restricting things in a way such as, peaceful factions can only place TNT on their own land, would be ok - but dont restrict things too much cause thats just stupid and against the faction wars ethos

    I wasnt able to play :( Since I was down in London last weekend.

    Will you be playing on Magnus Falls when it launches?

    This server is now non existent I think. If it is then we'll update the thread as soon as possible saying what world we'll be on :) Do we want to go on a high population server or medium?

    Also there will be a major overhaul of the guild structure we designed - We made it when we didn't really know much about GW2, or how the guild system works in comparison to GW1 + WoW and other MMORPG games, and now we see that its much harder to have such a structure and at the same time encourage large group gameplay because of how they designed it. (except in WvW). But we've came up with a good idea which means we all get to play together still :V Should I post it here or make a new thread?

    EDIT: VMR beat me to it.. :P As I said, high population or medium population? 'Ring of Fire' was a highly populated one,

    Hi there, my name is Noah. Better known as noahchris.

    My faction (Blackbird) has been really unactive for the past moth, the main reason of this is because of the new games our " Clan " plays like the famous zombie survival game Dayz and the Guild Wars 2 beta events and ofcourse the steam summer sales.

    But the main reason i am making this topic is because i want to join the janitors i think they are an active group of player on play.minecraft.nl and that is what i am looking for.

    If you accept me in your faction, IF, i will do whatever told me to do.
