Why the fuck didnt some people just want to try this update out for a small amount of time... -.-
We need Change. I dont want to play this on another server. This update would add something new to the Zombie Survival experience.

Hmm to be honest. i think i will stop playing ZS if i dont like this.
I loved ZS because of this simple gameplay (kills is weapons).
Now the gameplay gets a massive change and i dont know if i will like this, i never liked it if you must be the "lucky person" to grab a weapon first.
And if i want to find my weapons, i will play zombie panic! source.
.Not that i dont like you guys anymore because of this. but i maybe dont like ZS anymore if this happens.
okay what the fuck, why are there such negative people towards this new concept?? Seriously, as a player thats been on the server for a long time, this would be a refreshing change, in comparison to continuously grinding out the kills at the start to get just another type of pistol.
Just look at the amount of experienced players that are bored with the current system that suicide at the start of the round and play as Zombie.
I welcome any new updates that add a new twist to the way we play Zombie Survival, whilst something that doesn't hinder the style or objective of the server.

my friend works in a supermarket on the fruit & veg, she always ends up messing around with the melons...
Ohhh does she have big or small melons?

she handles all melons really, and other veg as well, including cucumbers, and bananas

Hmm, maybe start with just a melee weapon rather than no weapons at all .. because the hud looks kinda crappy without a weapon.
I think starting without a weapon would add excitement to the game, seeing how everyone will be going apeshit trying to find the first weapon or anything decent to use.

It'll be much of the same. But so will CoD: Modern Warfare 2 and nobody's complaining about that. I'm looking forward to the daylight- and recently announced swamp campaign
I think the reason why people are complaining is that there is an expectancy with Valve to really polish a sequel and make sure its worthy of what came before with effective improvements.
I don't think this will be a bad game whatsoever, I just think it will be more of Left 4 Dead with minor tweaks & additions, on a new location, which is slightly disappointing to me.

I love the stuff I cook myself, cuz I know what I like and even when I try something new in my shit I do they usually end up good.
Fast Food is expensive but its pretty fast.... and tasty.
and by the way - Waffles are better than Pancakes.

Although I can think of a few nice systems to make the player collect ammo, they all fail because all the experienced players would whore the ammo and the new players will have nothing to shoot with. :/
Cant you make a limit to the amount a certain player can pick up? Or the more experienced a player is on the server the less ammo they are allowed maybe ? harsh but they make up for it with skill.
I like it the way it is.yup I agree this would add to the tension + make it more tactical. It would require more skill to survive on maps where Humans seem invincible whilst camping.There are plenty of people on the server who may lack "skills", and therefore make the gameplay a real bitch if they don't have enough bullets. The system we have now is perfect. A few mags every now and then, instead of 50 instant magazines that they can spray out in a couple of minutes.
Perfect? hmm Not sure about that. I think its a bit contradictory of the term 'Survival' when Ammo magically appears from the sky. Don't get me wrong, I like the convenience of it but I think it takes away from the gametype.

Awesome! Thanks to everyone that voted for my entry. Although I think Emra's image should have got more votes in this contest for its quality & style.
I hope to at one point in a gmod contest (depending on the topic) to create a similar serious, artistic style.
Anyhow, congrats to all, it was fun.
