  1. I'm experiencing the same thing. Today I've been kicked several times for things as mining stone bricks or cutting wood, but this hasnt been a problem until just recently. Also the server is lagging bad again.
  2. Your faction is a faction because there're players in the faction. If the faction 'sux' the players in it must 'sux' before the faction can 'sux'. Therefore you must 'sux' aswell. Not true at all math. A fac works as a team if a fac has like say 10 members 7 of which are good but 3 are bad. if u are fighting a fac with all good members like lrg or cursxs or however that is spelled. you having those 3 bad ones will make tyou week for they will die early making the battle odds go off scale insuring that they lose. so moonboy who i never seen fight could be good or not good who knows but its a team effort not a single man thing, exsept for redgander who killed 5 members of the barbarians alone without having any trouble. hes a one man army. thats why i voted for him. There are never 10v10 fights on this server, you know that. If moonen would be good, he would've been invited to another faction already since he would've got his own full dia and own sword. With those he would've been able to do the same as redgander did to those noobs which would have give him popularity and an invite to another faction. I don't know what those barbarians were wering but I can say for my part that redgander had a pretty good fight with me, in the end he lost but he's indeed one of the better pvp'ers on this server. Which redgander fight are you guys refering to? I know we aren't exactly the best ones out there to put it that way, but the first fight near Janitors was pretty fail at our part, unlike the second one yesterday where he only killed a iron guy and a unarmed dude or two that kept coming back to fistfight him. But yes, he surely is much better than us, no doubt about it.

    I partly agree with you, xDerpina. What's bad with the current enchanting is that only the good factions get godswords and good protection armor because they're the only ones who get enough people at the pressure pads at the enchanting place. But I don't think we should remove enchanting from the server, just make them easier accessible for everyone and maybe remove the best enchants like Prot III and IV + Sharp IV and V. This has been suggested earlier and will make the enchanting more fair in my opinion, without making more people leave the server because of enchanting being removed. Without enchanting, all you'll have to do to get the best possible equipment would be to get full diamond, something that isn't too hard to get (especially for xrayers who'll get it at the very start of a new map). About the potions, I'd love to see something being done to the offensive potions. I'm not talking about weakness or slowness and such, just the poison and harming. Well, mostly the harming ones as poison isn't a big problem if you have milk. The problem with it being that it requires almost no skills at all to kill people with a Harming II, even people who would outskill you in melee. I did this a few times myself on the pre-contest faction wars map, and it was way to easy to kill diamond people with it. THis is especially destructive if you don't have any enchants at all, since 2-3 will kill anyone in unenchanted armor. So my wishes would be if at least the Harming II potions were removed to reduce potionspamming. I just hope potions won't get removed completly as they're a fun addition to the game in my opinion.
  4. That's the problem ... Apparently I didn't read your post well enough. I agree about the high level enchants, they should be easier to get than as of today without the need to bring ender pearls and several faction members. It does indeed increase the gap between the big ones and small ones. But I still think people should have to go to the monolith to be able to enchant. People are staying inside their bases more than enough already, so having to go somewhere to actually enchant should stay in my opinion, especially since you no longer can ender pearl into peoples bases and bring the fight to them. It does not require much to get the low lv enchants, even though one should be able to get them without bringing someone else. That's what I was mainly trying to point out. But as you pointed out, it should be easier to get the high lv ones. Personally I won't be able to get high lv enchants myself as it works today, even though we have plenty of people. For small factions it is indeed impossible to do.
  5. I'd rather keep the bookcases than getting that enchanting table inbase. Those bookcases just adds to much cosyness to my house to be taken away Besides, unlike brewing where you have to get some nether warts to actually get started, taking a quick visit to the monolith when there's few people one is all you have to do to get a few low lv enchants with nothing more than a few xp levels. Since you can get up to the enchanting table alone if you're quick enough and use the server lag to your advantage, most people should be able to get the low lv echants without much effort. If you can't do that, just bring a friend or faction member. After all, some of the reason behind the enchanting and brewing place was to get people out of their bases now that several of the glitches to get into bases are fixed.
  6. The point is that when you buy the peaceful thingy, you're supposed to be peaceful. Blowing up others bases with TNT cannons isn't very peaceful, is it? Either you play peacefully with the peaceful perk or you play fair like most others. You shouldn't necessarily be allowed to raid others or destroy their bases in godmode (except if you're hit by fire and lava) just because you're able to do it.

    yes this happens to me all the time, my player freezes and i dont realise that i am frozen so i keep moving on but im in the same position where i froze, get very annoying, have to disconnect and reconnect for me to go back. this never happened before aswell? The freeze thing you're talking about happens to me quite often. It was worse in the beginning of this map, and it has gotten a bit better, although this was not an issue before 1.3. The new thing here was how bad the lag spike was compared to how it usually is. When I fight people, sometimes I do get a lag spike and get "teleported back in time and place" as happens with these freezes, but it's usually not like this where I can't fight at all and die during a lag spike.

    I fought a guy earlier today, and I recorded it for safety in case something odd would happen. Lag spikes on the server is not something new, but have anyone experienced something like this? Is these big lag spikes normal or is it just me? It's usually not this bad btw, but it's not always possible to PvP because of the lag spikes. And yes, the lower fps is because I'm recording. I drank a speed II potion just before I started recording, so that's why I'm moving so fast. Edit: fixed the video so it can actually be seen

  10. As I enchanted at the Magicians monolith earlier today, I saw someone from the peaceful faction mlg1 working on a wall around the whole place. Are peaceful factions allowed to wall in strategic points like this since they can't be fought or claimed over?
  11. I don't know what peaceful factions are allowed to do and not, but I know they can still kill people with fire and perhaps TNT if they can still place them outside their own territory. In case such things happen, I think we stil should be allowed to kill them with fire to stop any such abuse of the perk if it happens.

  13. The hunting seems like a fun addition But will all the perks/consumables be available? Being able to buy full iron or the 16 iron blocks package seems too overpowered for this map in my opinion when furnaces are unplaceable.

  15. The biggest problem with this chest is as mentioned before that everyone can store their diamonds and other highly valuables safe without the risk of losing them, drastically reducing the rewards of raids

  17. Without glitches is how the factions plugin was intended, use TNT or creepers the old fashioned way, your pretty good at minecraft im sure you will figure somthing out. Add water over your whole base and no one can TNT or creeperbomb inside your base. Without glitches, this is pretty much all it takes to make a base impossible to get into if you can't get their power down. Becuase of this, you won't get to raid people who actually use the livemap unless you have cloak because they can just hide safely in their base as soon as they see you come (which is kinda ruining the pvp). I can partly avoid this problem becuase I use the /cloak perk, which makes ambushes outside bases much easier, but most people does not have this.
  18. I'm not 100% sure if this is going to happen, but according to the snapshot for week 24, it seems to me there is going to be one ender chest inventory per player. Quote from the snapshot: "The Ender Chest has been changed to have an inventory per player and not per world. Also, knocking down the chest will break it into 8 obsidian, unless you have Silk Touch." If this means a safe, unraidable chest for each player on the server, will it be disabled? If I've understood it correctly, this would ruin raiding as everyone could just store their valuables ssafe from raiding without risking it it any way.
  19. If you annoyed about the glitches, buildings double thick walls and roofs in addition to one way piston exits should give you a good protection. Also adding lava inside the walls and vines as awesomeo said should solve your problem as far as I know.

  21. Since this thread is already about the new plugin, is there any possibility Clavus that people also lose power when they die from combat log? The current plugin sure is better than the last one, but refusing people to combat log to save their power would further improve it in my opinion.

    Does this new plugin trigger if you attack someone right after they log in, but before the invulnerabilty from logging in wears off? Like, if he/she logs in, you attack them 2 seconds later, and then they log off again while still being invulnerable?
  23. I agree about the potions. I use them all the time while fighting, like strenght and speed before a fight, plus healing and poison while fighting. From my own experience, a lot of people I fight don't have any of these, giving the few people that actually have nether warts a huge advantage. If you for instance use speed II potion in the end of a fight, those 40% extra movement speed makes it literary impossible for people to flee or chase you down, just like throwing an ender pearl into the distance when losing a fight. If you on the other hand use poison and the enemy doesn't, you can pretty much kill anyone almost without even using your own sword. As so few people I've fought use potions, and since they are so easy to mass produce when you got the nether warts, I think turning them off or at least trying to reduce their effectiveness would help balance the PvP to some degree due to their power.
