Should I buy PS3 or not?

Right, so. I've been really anxious to buy PS3 since I saw some clips & trailers for PS3 games, such as InFamous & FF XIII.

Do you think I should buy the console within 2-3 weeks? Or wait until it goes down in price? I mean, PS3 is indeed expensive; and I don't want to regret buying it. But you can't deny that those clips really looks awesome.

So what do you think I should do?

Sony's a bit stubborn when it comes to the PS3 price. They claim it won't go down any time soon, although I wouldn't be surprised if they announced on the upcoming E3 that it drop in price.

if so, that might force sony to do a price drop

If I were you, I should wait. In about 4 years, the newer consoles will arive, but, of course, if you can't wait, then you should pick a PS3, AFTHER the E3. Maybe if there is a confirmation in the price drop, then buy it, or a newer version is coming, then buy it.

I shouldn't buy it for video games? So for what purpose should I buy it then? Agreed, my PS3 will be useless when the PS4 comes out, but my PS4 will be useless when the PS5 comes out, and the PS5 will be worthless when the PS6 comes out ! ^.^

But since PS3 releases FF 13 2010, PS4 can't be out anytime soon.

you can wait an eternity, if you keep on waiting for the next console. You should buy it in my opinion, because it's the best console available.
