nonethenone Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 I'm currently new to this website, and I've seen cars going faster than me when racing. Is there something that speeds up your car or something else? Quote
Otram Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 (edited) Well there are three main factors. First of all your fps, because if you've limited MTA to low fps you can't compete with other players who have high fps. Then there's the ping which depends on your internet connection or your nationality. Keep in mind that servers are physically installed in Europe, so if you're from another continent you probably have an high ping. And finally the NOS usage: aged players knows how to keep NOS for the good spot. For example if you take NOS pickup in a bad zone for acceleration you should wait until the road gets straight or good for NOS usage. I hope that you'll understand which factors influence your car's speed. Edited September 11, 2017 by Otram Bierbuikje, BlueYoshi97, Cena and 1 other 4 Quote
mr.reese Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Yes, and set your NOS type to hybrid or nfs, that's how you can switch on and off your NOS. NITROX 1 Quote

Maher Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 The more you play, the more better you will know how to race, if NTS (Never The Same), it depends in ur luck and some need skills. (Mix Server) Hodhodxx and zezu 1 1 Quote

On some track and vehicle combinations higher FPS is actually slower. Ping doesn't influence your speed too. Quote
Gametaff Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Ping doesn't matter, just make sure to have high frame rate and don't be afraid of slowing down at every corner. Also try to know every car handling Quote
HeArTBeaT Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 yeah i been meaning to ask this, though in my case its boats. I run at 100 FPS 90% of the time with the biggest drop being @ 85, and somehow everyone's boat is faster than mine (the speeder ones i mean). Is there some trick to it like the fast acceleration for motorcycles or the wheelie for bikes? Quote

F1 > Settings > Then bottom right change the boat FPS limit to 60. Quote
