It says something about "completing installation 1%" and it stays 1% untill it says something about an "incomplete installation (55)"

More people seem to have this issue. Valve's looking into it according to the HLDS mailing list.

In the mean time try deleting/moving every l4d2 file and let it reïnstall that should make it work,maybe

and VforV: it still says preload so he should get every bonus that we had, besides they should give all the bonusses cause I payed for them =P

I only found out that it's the client.dll, or possibly that =P for once I don't have problems with a game XD

it's still steam, I figured out that old problems tend to reappear. trust me, some games always try that XD
