    omg darkstar

You admitted you used it before yourself, why should we believe you now? Also you just admitted that you atleast TRIED to install xray, how else would you know your computer "doesn't let" you install?
  2. You only need one application, so use your old one.
  3. You should ask Ywa, I'm still up for it/think it's a good idea.
  4. I can confirm that. Well I could upload a playable executable but I don't think people care enough to try out a game I barely started working on.
  5. It was fun reading this topic again, makes me want to get back to modeling. Anyway, I'm working on a simple platformer I'm never going to finish in C# using XNA. Basic animations, controls and camera scrolling are functional, but that's about it. Here's a screen that doesn't tell you much:
  6. Hmm. Honestly I don't see why you would deserve to be unbanned. I'll leave this topic open for a little longer so the topcrew can still give their opinion, but I wouldn't count on it.

    Peace.

Please format your ban appeal as follows:

Please try to behave and don't make threads like these.
  9. Pretty sure it's Lydia playing the herb mixing animation without armor.

    SOPA

DDoS'ing is mostly stupid, especially in this case. Not sure what Anonymous/whatever are planning to DDoS this time, but I read somewhere that they wanted to attack Microsoft's Xbox Live servers out of revenge for Megaupload (yeah I don't know either). I'd suggest not helping with HOIC/LOIC attacks because the FBI doesn't give two shits about some website going down for two days. It's just a way of willingly making your PC part of a botnet to fight for something you won't win anyway. Especially not that way.
  11. I think it sucks that MegaUpload is down, but it's a bit of a shady situation. Though they did remove copyrighted content when asked, in a way they kind of supported the uploading of copyrighted content. Apparantly people that uploaded a lot could gain money from it, and files that didn't get downloaded a lot would be removed after a certain amount of time. In short, it's kind of difficult to say who's fault it is. The government's reason isn't very compelling, but MegaUpload and it's owner don't seem to be 100% on the right path either.
  12. Your anologies are just plain wrong and you don't want to see it. It's like saying "I always have sex without a condom. Sure, there's a chance that I get an STD, but there's also a chance that I won't get one, so that's what I'm going for". Same with SOPA/PIPA. If these acts pass, there's a 99.9% chance that companies will start blocking content on the internet. If we follow your logic, SOPA/PIPA shouldn't be protested because there's still a 0.01% chance that companies won't even use it. Maybe you are different than me, because in cases like these I think it's best to prepare the worst. Blocking TPB is just the first little step in a possible chain reaction of similiar events. Note that I'm not just raging here because I want TPB to stay online. I don't need the pirate bay and my provider probably won't even block it. I just think the entire situation is shameful and I don't believe the judge who let this verdict pass knows a lot about the internet in general. Probably my last post in response to BY, his mind won't change and his (in my opinion bad) arguments don't get me to think about the situation. EDIT: Just read your last post BY, and you must be really, really thick. This is NOT about the fact that we want to pirate copyrighted content. You are missing the point entirely and you're probably better off not responding anymore. Please. For your own sake.
  13. Though in a way you have a point, I still think it's a bad attitude to just say "Oh well just let it happen BREIN is right anyway" (which they aren't since they're only doing it for the money). The bullet anology is pretty bad though. See it like this: Companies never bothered to sue ISPs because they thought it wouldn't work anyway. Now that BREIN showed that non-governmental organizations DO have power over the internet, they put a foot in the door for other companies. And yes, I do use "might" and "maybe" and so on because I'm not saying it happened already. What I'm trying to bring across is that this verdict never should've passed in the first place. Not passing it would've prevented BREIN from getting that foot in the door for possible other companies. Also: Now you're making assumptions. If you really understood my concern, you'd know that you can't claim "But it's not true", because you do not know if it's true yet. You can call us hypocrites, but you have no reason to. No one is being a hypocrit in any way, unless one of us has also succesfully sued Ziggo and XS4ALL and I didn't hear about it. Also, Navo raised a great point.
  14. Unlike you, who may not be missing the point, but instead is too stubborn to accept it. If you want to live your life just "accepting" things and getting screwed over by everyone in the process, who am I to stop you? Are you being screwed over? Why? What personal, direct disadvantages does this whole thing bring for the average Mayco in Sealand? If you just accept everything and don't oppose/question certain matters, you will get screwed with a lot in your life. And no, I don't think I personally face direct disadvantages over this particular case. This it what I mean with "you're missing the point": The actual act of blocking TPB does not affect me, but the possible results of it might. If an organization like BREIN can make a provider block a website (and limit your freedom of speech), who's to say big companies can't start blocking out websites or content they don't want to have on the internet? Besides, the whole "how does this affect you personally" question is just a matter of how you look at things. The fact that, say, the population of China is under pretty much a strict dictatorship/regime does not affect me much, if at all. That doesn't mean I'm not disgusted by it. I'm not the most caring or person out there, but I like to see everyone treated with respect, and that includes basic rights like freedom of speech. Unfortunately BREIN may be laying the very foundation of something that will limit freedom of speech on the internet (much like SOPA).
  15. Unlike you, who may not be missing the point, but instead is too stubborn to accept it. If you want to live your life just "accepting" things and getting screwed over by everyone in the process, who am I to stop you? Granted, we can't do much about this ban because it's simply out of our reach. Also, I'm not trying to oppose anyones opinion, I just don't like opinions that aren't backed up by proper arguments.
  16. BlueYoshi, like I suggested on IRC, it's probably best for you not to comment on this matter because you seem to be missing the point. Although it's not related to the BREIN situation, I hope Wikipedia's action gets some results. There are other sites that will go black as well, but they said they'd go down for 150 seconds (last time I read), which is not very impressive. My ISP's downtimes are longer than that. Anyway, it's good that both Ziggo and XS4ALL decided to go to high court, though I don't have very high hopes for them. Though the fact that the PVV is also questioning the ban is a good thing, even if it's just publicity to get more voters. I pretty much disagree with the PVV on everything, but I do hope that in this case they make an impression on the court.

    Ban JBMORION

You don't seem to have a lot evidence to support your claims. Are you sure you're not just mad because they launched an all-out attack on you? (Especially considering the swearing at the end of your post).
  18. I've got NOD32 on my desktop and MSE on my laptop. MSE seems to be doing really well for a free antivirus.
  19. It's a fun game but I have yet to play co-op
  20. Well done. I've made some attempt at rigging in 3ds Max, and only 2 models came out fine. It looks like quite a complex model as well. Did you rig the main skeleton or did you also add the wings?
  21. That mod is probably going the same way MultiTES4, Mafia II MP, Just Cause 2 MP and so on went, AKA the development will stop after 60 videos of some half-assed player syncing.

    The Last Of Us

Looks good in the graphics department, I wonder what the gameplay will be like. I hope it's not too much like Uncharted. Though the Uncharted games are pretty good, I'd like to see something more unique.
  23. So pr0xyius, do you still think Corby teleported to the mob spawner in order to kill you? Nevermind, it got resolved. Closing thread.
  24. Nope, it has Steamworks, no way getting around Steam (well except for piracy).
