    Question.

An old radiator is all you need. It doesn't cost anything, if you have one of those ofc, and it is as safe as a wristband or gloves or w/e.
  2. Kay, I didn't know that. The mod might be nice, but I'd prefer a playable game and not a diashow, means 30+ fps or in case of GTA 4 25+. Just my opinion. @ Damien Hehe, pretty nice step. From a dual-core to hexa. Good choice, good choice. And @ Mayco Flashing a 6950 to a 6970 can save some money, but you lose your warranty and you can't be sure that the card can handle the higher clock rates. E.g. one of my flashed 6950s won't run 100% stabil, because of the memory clock rate so I have to underclock it a little bit.
  3. How can you play with 15 fps ? You're playing ENB Series, don't know the hardware requirements, with a pretty low resolution and get only 15 fps or did I get it wrong?
  4. Why should somebody feel sorry for her? You can see that she has a shitload of fun...
  5. Metro 2033 supports PhysX on processors, so if I enable it, my cpu calculates the particles, which I can also see by explosions, but 1st of all, a few more particles are nice, but I can life without them, and 2nd, my fps drops are enourmous, but only ingame. I've not only bought the 6950s for Metro. 2gb videoram, dual-bios + the possibility to unlock the cards to 6970s and performance improvments in almost every game were the reasons why I bought them. ( And the huge improvment in Metro 2033 of course)
  6. 31fps | 49,8 fps with the same settings, almost 19 fps difference, and with the 6950s I can use Advanced DoF and still have more fps then before. We'll see Edit: Ok, added 6950s to the 2nd results, I guess it was misleading.
  7. So guys, a few days ago I bought 2 AMD Radeon HD 6950s, now unlocked and running as 6970s, and I was really happy, especially about the performance improvement in Metro 2033. So I thought that I should run the metro bench and viola: Settings: 1920x1080, Dx 11, Very High, 4x MSAA, 16x AF, Tessellation & Advanced DoF ( No advanced PhysX, cause I barely see any difference, one explosion during the bench and those few added particles don't make it looks better ) Results from all 5 runs: Max.: 151,72 fps Min.: 8,68 fps Avg.: 41,2 fps I also ran the bench without Advanced DoF to compare the results with my 2 5870s. I can't remeber the exact results of my 5870s, but the avg. fps were about 31 fps. Results of my 6950s without Advanced DoF: Max.: 181,29 fps Min.: 7,85 Avg.: 49,8 fps
  8. @ oDi.WankenoDi AMD boxed cooler o.O @ Mayco OH SHI- ! Well, well, got my new 6950s, running @ 6970 ( BIOS mod ftw), and I had to take some pics. Here they're ( Sry for the last 2, my cam and myself as a photographer suck)
  9. Got some And a new 120gb ssd <3
  10. You'll need an AM2+ mobo otherwise your ddr-2 ram won't fit.
  11. Do you have ddr-2 or ddr-3 ram? Because, as far as I know,a motherboard can only support on type of ram.
