  1. Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuuu, happy birthday to youuuuuu, happy BIRTHday dear bAsTiNaToRrrrrrrrRRrRRR... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!!

  2. So, here is my suggestion: http://skinflint.co.uk/?cat=WL-193264 An Intel i5-2500K + a solid motherboard which allows you pretty nice overclocking, but please inform yourself first !!! 4Ghz and more are no problem. SSD should be enough for your OS + some programs and a 1 TB HDD should be also more than enough. The case, well, I just put it in the list. You can take a smaller / cheaper one, but this is a matter of taste. And at least the graphics card. You can either buy a current high end card like the Radon HD 6970 or the gtx 570 (gtx 580 is too expensive) or you get a Radeon HD 6870 and if you require more power, you can wait until AMD releases it's HD 7xxx generation in December (rumors say that AMD will start with the HD 7870) and get one of them or of course a more powerfull card when it's been released.
  3. Tomorrow I'll buy BF3 and if it satisfies me in terms of graphics and gameplay, I am willing to pay 15€ each month!
  4. Benchmark / fps-figures for those of you who are worried if you'll be able to play it with considerable graphics. Graphics driver are Catalyst 11.10 Preview V3 and Geforce 285.38./62. Dx 11 & max. details Operation Swordbreaker, 20 seconds scenario with lots of action. Appears to be a worst case scenario for graphics cards. And a comparison with the latest nvidia driver: EDIT: Fixed Here is the full article (in German)
  5. Well, the 270€ bundle has enough power for the next 2-3 years and if you need some more, just overclock it at 4-4,5 ghz. Then you add the PSU for about 40€ and you've still 40€ left. You don't have to spend all of your budget for a CPU & motherboard combo, especially in combination with your current graphics card. Enough said.
  6. You can get a solid P67 board for ~80-90€ + an i5-2500K ~185€ if you intend to overclock. ~275€ for this bundle Or H67 ~70€ + an i5-2400 ~160€. ~230€ for this bundle (limited overclocking, locked multiplier) And this PSU, case is your own personal decision.
  7. I know that, but you shouldn't give him any oppurtunities to "validate nvidia's superiority". You shouldn't feed neither trolls nor fanboys.
  8. Never mind, the graphics card which I suggested is cheap in terms of performance.
  9. May you be so kind and re-read my post. I suggested the SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6870 for ~145 pounds and not the 6850. And if you still intend to "argue" about the awesomeness of the gtx 470; the HD 6870 provides the same performance (sometimes it is faster & sometimes slower), needs less power and it is also cheaper than the gtx 470.
  10. Bashing without any reasonable arguments = Fanboy => what we don't need
  11. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-11179-09-20G-6870-GDDR5-Graphics/dp/B004R7MTPQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1318269246&sr=8-4 A little bit above your price limit, but it should harmonize with your CPU.
  12. Unless your games & programes don't make use of 6 cores, your computing performance will slightly decrease with the 1090T. 965BE = 3,4 GHz, 1090T = 3,2 GHz Also, I've heard / read some rumors which say that the desktop versions of BD will be delayed again. (I've no official proofs, so you shouldn't take this too serious) The prices will drop, but I'd rather buy the new generation. For instance, an i3-2100 is on the same height as a 965BE and the prices are almost the same. (But DO NOT BUY an AMD CPU NOW)
