A multitude of people disagree.

Just a reminder: I'm setting up the Minecraft server from time to time to play. Catch is that it only stays online for as long as I am because the server needs constant restarting because of the performance leaks. There are another few things: * Do not ask me to put up the Minecraft server. * Do NOT ask me to put up the Minecraft server. * Every time you do I'll delay it by 15 minutes. * If the Minecraft server is up, I'll announce it on IRC.

Major bugs and problems on Left4Green ZS server.
Clavus replied to Vieux_Sequel's topic in Zombie Survival
No, it means you're calling IsAdmin on a entity that doesn't have that function. Like a NULL entity. This is not Garry's problem, this is your code. ValidEntity checks should be everywhere. -
Well he couldnt take the risk, he was probably fatally wounded too. So he had 3 options, Bleed to death Become a zombie Get shot. And if he became a zombie, he'd probably end up being shot/bled to death anyway. You forgot the options 'medkit', 'pills' or 'respawn in next closet'. EDIT: Poor Francis.

Pretty fucked up that Zoey's father probably wasn't infected when he asked to be shot.
-
Everyone's busy again since school started so we didn't even notice.

Part 2 is up bitchiz. Includes: more Francis making an ass of himself. More military bullshit. More special SI. And Zoey's origin story.
-
Probably fake but scary nonetheless

Open-minded shouldn't be read as 'agrees with everything I say'.

God was created by man because man wanted answers for things we couldn't explain. Since we know much more than we did back then, we question 'god', the creation of our ancestors. Religion today serves a whole other role than the reason it was created. I want to know the answers to creation, but I also know that whatever answer I'll get in my lifetime should be questioned.

Also a note to everyone who doesn't have Minecraft yet: the Minecraft Alpha is currently free-to-play until Notch fixes his server. You can find the game on minecraft.net.

Not really my type of games.

What disillusioned life are you living?! Some theories are just based on observations, and often have complicated explanations. That's what he means I think; there is just as much proof for those theories as there is for the existence of a god (because even though we don't believe in one, there is always the possibility that there is some supernatural power). Also there have been many theories about faster-than-light travel, which often resolve around bending the space around an object. That way the object doesn't necessarily travel faster in terms of velocity, but the distance is 'shorter'. Mind bending crap al right

Insignificant is a word given to describe that particular feeling. The word itself is irrelevant, it is merely a label for that particular feeling a sentient being can experience. This feeling could be felt by any sentient being in the universe, the label given to it by humans who speak the English language is not related to the feeling itself. In logical argument form, my belief works like this: Premise 1. We exist. Premise 2. The universe exists. Premise 3. Interactions and forces transferred throughout the universe do so by means of energy released through the movement of atomic and subatomic particles. Premise 4. Our planet and our bodies are also controlled by the movement of these particles but they move in such a way that creates consciousness. Premise 5. Something that is 'insignificant' is a thing that is very small and of little importance in relation to another thing. Premise 6. The number of particles and interactions that make up our bodies are impossibly small in relation to the universe. Premise 7. The energy and 'effort' (both mental and physical) that we release during our lifetimes is also impossibly small in relation to the universe. Premise 8. As the universe is so massive, maybe infinite, it is likely other beings as intelligent as ourselves exist. Conclusion: We are impossibly small and release a miniscule amount of energy in relation to the rest of the universe. We are also not the only sentient and thinking beings in the universe so in that respect we are not unique. For both these reasons, we are insignificant. Actually I meant "insignificant" as a term (not only as a word) doesn't exist in the universe. The feeling we have is because there is a massive amount of information out there which we haven't collected or reached yet! For example, if you would relate our significance to our own solar system, it must be a lot more than the whole universe right? But why would it be? The distance to the edge of our solar system is huge, no person would travel that distance. Yet we find it smaller because we know so much about our solar system. Now imagine in the future, if the human race can travel between many systems, even though there is such a massive amount of information, every system will feel like it's next door. Even now the internet contains more information than one man can absorb in his life, but because we can reach it, it doesn't feel 'too big' for us. Insignificance is nothing but an emotion. If the human race expands, everything comes closer.

Internet is doing a great job at creating atheists. You get confronted with lots of different views and opinions at a young age, which I think gives you more wisdom than a lot of old folk that never left their farm. Still you have to respect those old folk for the reality they choose to live in, which of course works two ways. They have to respect your choice not to believe in a god either. I don't have a lot to say about nihilism either. Why? Because "insignificant" is a word that doesn't exist in the universe. Nihilists label themselves 'insignificant' because there's a lot out there, but does it really matter that there is such a huge universe? We simply exist and there's nothing more to add, or subtract from that.

Because I have an actual proper camera with timer function.

For some reason I think that making photos of yourself using bathroom mirrors is a terrible idea. Mostly because attentionwhore-type girls seem to be doing it. I happen to have this one laying around. Used it for a new msn avatar. Game posters, Portal 2 shirt, headset around neck and a PS3 controller in my hand. How much is that on the GAMER-O-SCALE?

Read in the newspaper that about 80% of Britain doesn't believe in a god. That is quite an enormous number. Terms like 'science' and 'religion' are all relative and come in many forms. You can reject reality and substitute it with your own, as long as you respect the realities others choose for themselves.

I thought those turtle cloudscript entities were so awesome I had to put them in GunRun some way. They also swim

"Hold on. I gotta give this zombie the finger." The comic is awesome and the humour is great.
