I love having the final say. No.

We'll restart the map at some point. I don't want to sound like a game-breaker, but we will be setting some rules on what we don't want people to build. Maybe we'll do a weekly thing. Setting a theme for our city (like only build up against a certain cliff or something), and at the end of the week, we start a new map and distribute the old save so people can look back later at what we achieved. Currently it's just a chaotic build. It'd be much cooler if people cooperate to build shit like this:

Use this: http://steamidfinder.com/default.aspx

What are you putting in the field? Your Steam ID is formatted like 'STEAM_0:1:123456'.

Sorry. If you didn't make one I wouldn't know if they would be such an eye-sore It's all about testing right now.

Loving the multiplayer although it's far from finished. The current server also helps me with setting up rules, or more like behaviour guidelines of sorts. I mainly want to discourage people from making 'ego-constructions', like max-height towers or names written in the sky. Just keep your buildings modest and let it blend in with whatever others are building. It's far more fun if things like that Mr. Green smiley are the real eye catchers.

And I'll forward it to Deluvas, he's the guy handling ZS.

Haha cheers Grasshopper. <3 you too. And pretty nice skin you've got there. Am I the only one here who thinks that Multi player survival would suck with any more than about 5 people? With more people it's harder to work together, more people will go off doing their own thing, and as Clavus has pointed out there's more room for people to be idiots in a larger server. Thus ruining it for the rest of us who want to play the game properly. Just a thought. Since it's community only I expect everyone to behave at least. Once we can get a password on the server, we'll only spread the password through IRC to keep the amount of idiots limited to just Sneed.
-
This is why I'm going to set some rules. Also crappy spelling of the word 'Survival' (bet you didn't even notice).
-
OR just permaban Sneed from it Might be a good idea too. (read: SNEED REPENT NOW OR YOUR END IS NIGH) Anyway, I reverted the map to a backup I made yesterday night. I looked at the current state of the server twice, and it's pretty fucked up. Sorry to all the folks who actually build nice structures during this time. I'll try to set some rules soon because the server won't be fun for a lot of people if just a few guys think they can steal or destroy whatever they want. I might sound too serious but if we don't set the rules now nobody will adhere them later.
-
..... If you guys keep destroying stuff when nobody is around to check I don't see much of a point in making a MC server.
-
I pulled the multiplayer map through the cartographer. Also a night version even though there's not day/night cycle yet

Definitely singleplayer. Multiplayer is far from finished, half the stuff doesn't even work. Anyway, more pictures. Started using minerals as building materials since we can't smelt them anyway. This is where the fun began.

Started out with a sand castle. But quickly grew to something bigger.

We got a Mr. Green Minecraft server running. Just type fenrir.left4green.com in the box and you'll connect to it.

Been toying around on another Dutchie's server. At start everything went pretty smooth. The game doesn't quite work yet, because a lot of things are still client side or don't work properly at all (like furnaces). The server also started to lag when the world got too big (host said the server was taking up 2.6GB of RAM), although you only really noticed that in the movement of others. Client authoritative movement in technical terms.

Then why teh fuck put it back to Normal in the first place you pussy.
-
It's a mine, not a museum.
-
Totally worth the almost 200 track pieces. Now I still need to mine some iron to make carts

Digging in a straight line is boring. My tunnels all have their own shape and routes EDIT: Also Windows XP ARRRRGGGH

Both the browser and the exe use the same place to save files (<userfolder>/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft), so you don't have to worry about that. The only downside of the browser version is that you can't go fullscreen.
-
Maybe try reinstalling Java? And are you trying to play in the browser or did you download the exe?

His W key must've been stuck for quite a while. Some nice gardening there Hundred2. As for the multiplayer server. If we get one running, we'll probably be dicking around a lot at first to see what the possibilities and limitations are. In my view the server should be community only, spread the password through IRC or something (we might be able to more people on IRC that way). This should keep random griefers out, plus I imagine that the game's multiplayer is most fun with people you sorta know.

That's why any server we'll be running will be community-only. Mah world. There are some huge underground mines running near the tower too. My next goal is to get enough iron to make a minecart track from my mines to my tower.
