There was a contract breach somewhere, we still don't know exactly where because PR people are full of bullshit. In the end I still believe Valve should stand their ground. And "pre-order bonuses at specific retailers" was done before with other games on Steam (like Brink) so I don't see that being the problem.
No, why should I? When we started the server we were still on 1.7.2, which means some people could abuse the piston dupe bug. Now we're on 1.7.3 and so that's no longer possible. I don't know how many stashes people made though.
Nah Minecraft itself was being silly. Also Mungol's base has been mountainized on the south east end. I think I'm going to look into ways to counter this tactic.
Cheating seems to be quite common on our server. That's why I've installed the NoCheat plugin that logs and counters speed/fly hacks and some other things. If you're fly hacking I immediately get to see your movement violations in chat, so don't think you can escape notice by flying when nobody's around.
Just keep an eye on this page: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Version_history People usually add bugs when they find them. I'll update the server once bukkit is updated to the new version, which should be soon.
Yeah the adventure update is looking like it'll be massive fun. Also 48 lines in changelist 1.8 is version number expectation factor on a scale of 1 to 10 is 10 And thus: 48*(1.8+10) = 518.4 new bugs.
