Bukkit is out for 1.5, but they are early development builds containing bugs, glitches, and other such things.

Well, advertising costs money since we live in a Capitalist society.
Besides asking all your friends and their friends to start to play on this server there isn't that much of an option.

Yeah fights would be better without Sharp IV, it kills way too fast even on a protection II opponent, especially with a strength II potion.

Advertising on the Minecraft forums would help a lot. I'm getting really bored too, there's nothing exciting that goes on. Half the factions have pretty much quit and moved to other servers.
Indeed, the way I started playing this server was that I found it on the Minecraft forums.

The max levels of enchanting are:
Swords - Sharpness IV
Bows - Power III
Armor - Protection II
Everything else is like normal.

You really have to get into every ban situation don't you? This isn't actually in the bans and unbans section, but FYI the actual things are supposed to be kept clean, you know. Just forget the urge to automatically post when you see a ban unrelated to you there...He apologized after, saying he was frustrated and wouldn't spam again.I don't think he should be banned, hes only 9

If you want to solve the problem sooner, you could have him jump up and down or something to make his food bar run out so that he dies from starving, thus teleporting him to the faction home.

I tried to replicate it, but couldn't. The server was lag free though so I'll try again when it's 50/50.
It's also possible that they marked it a while ago. If you know the block they've marked you can make a lava trap for them to spawn into, or place a torch on it or something
Thanks to instant f home, there's not really any point to traps unfortunately
when the faction is offline. Mining the block is a good way to prevent a raider. -

Fraps is good, lowers fps but not as bad as other programs.

It's not lagging too badly, more slots would be nice, this morning it's been full the entire time.

Using the terrain is part of strategy, and potions are easy for any player to get rather than protection IV, which is definitely an improvement, along with the fact they take skill to use. I'd rather get killed by poison rather than someone in invincible armor any day.Conclusion: Pot spammers and those with a tendency NOT to fall in every water hole in existence will dominate this map.Nice Video!

I pvp with a couple players with gear that would be available with the new map (limited to protection II armor, sharp IV sword, power III bow). I have to say, if that's the godly side of pvp now, it will be so much better now than Protection IV fights.

Most of the time i'm online. there are no admins whatsoever. so i strongly disagree
It's funny how you can not see if there's any admin online since they're almost always vanished, but still you know that they aren't online.
I don't know a lot about /v, but that was a poorly informed insinuation about hacks.

I thought Rei's minimap gave an unfair advantage that normal vanilla players cannot use. I would think it's illegal.

No that would be Arnz8o8. That guy is pro at /f homing. He's closely rivaled by the macros of nielsbmx.
