Mix/Race Event

Bier and I started the event on Race and Mix 1 hour earlier than the time on vote. We are sorry for this. For the next week's event we will be more focused on those silly mistakes. Hope everyone enjoyed the free "good" maps.  Bier or I will post a new topic soon for next week's event, stay active in here!

good idea... global timing makes it annoying however.

IDEAS:

1) countdown timer on green forums (maybe in header), adjusted for personal location.

2) 24-48hrs before event, server announce in chatbox every hour or so (timing up for debate) saying "Event starts in XX hours" - could help reminding people!

3) rewards for events (dont know if implemented)

    podium finish = some amount of GC

    finishing a map during event = lesser amount of GC

    joining during event (participation) = way lesser amount of GC

   (Reward doesnt have to be GC - could be a free custom horn? or paintjob? or other temporary perk?)

 

these may help entice/coerce/remind people to be a part of this event

I like them all. 1st and 2nd never thought of it. 3rd I already suggested it to other admins.  We will update the event by time for sure. All credits goes to @Bierbuikje.

Oh just saw it haha, free pj?  That sounds kinda impossible for now. Temporary perk or a horn sounds nice tho.

I can only say that they were the best maps yet so far from the event's
